Natalie Portman does not have any current plans to reconcile with her estranged husband Benjamin Millepied following reports of his alleged affair. According to a source in the latest issue of We, the couple is maintaining a civil relationship for the sake of their children. Benjamin reportedly wishes to reconcile with Natalie, but she is not interested at the moment.
Despite their ongoing separation, Millepied, 46, and Portman, 42, are showing a united front. They were recently seen having lunch in Los Angeles with their children, Aleph, 12, and Amalia, 7. Portman was not wearing her wedding ring during the outing.
Speculations about trouble in Portman and Millepied's marriage arose in June 2023 following reports of Millepied's involvement with climate activist Camille Étienne. The couple officially announced their split in August 2023 after being married for 11 years. Portman is reportedly taking steps to finalize the separation.
"They are currently working out the details of their divorce and custody arrangements," a source shared with Us. "Natalie is hoping for a smooth and amicable process."
Back in January, another insider informed Us that the couple had been facing challenges for over a year. There were concerns about Millepied's frequent work trips and not returning home, which raised suspicions of infidelity for Portman. She felt hurt and embarrassed by her husband's actions.
At the time, an insider revealed that she didn't give up on her marriage easily. It was clear by the end of last year that her heart wasn't in it anymore.
Portman and Millepied started dating after collaborating on the film Black Swan in 2010. Millepied left his girlfriend at the time, Isabella Boylston, to be with Portman. They got married two years later.

Last summer, there was speculation about Portman's marriage when she was seen without her wedding ring at public events. She even attended an Angel FC event in Sydney on what would have been her 11th wedding anniversary without the diamond on her hand.
In January, eyebrows were raised when she mentioned living in Paris with her two children but did not talk about Millepied. It wasn't until February that Portman addressed the state of her marriage, calling the exposure of Millepied's alleged infidelity by Voici a "terrible" experience she did not want to be a part of. Despite this, she shared about thriving in her life outside of Hollywood in Los Angeles.
"I have friends in the entertainment industry, but most of my friends are not. When we hang out, we prefer to keep things casual. Instead of attending Hollywood parties, we enjoy having dinners together in the comfort of our backyard," she shared.
Living in Los Angeles actually changed my perspective on the city. It made my experience less 'Hollywood.' In the past, my visits were solely for work, staying in Beverly Hills, attending industry meetings, and going to industry parties. But living there allowed me to appreciate the city in a more well-rounded way. I got to explore nature, arts, food, music, and most importantly, connect with the diverse people of LA."
