Natalie Portman has seemingly put her separation from Benjamin Millepied behind her, often choosing to ditch her wedding band on recent outings.
Portman, 32, was seen getting out of a car in New York City on Wednesday, November 29, and her ring was noticeably not on her finger. The actress has been in NYC all week to promote her upcoming film, "May December," in which she stars alongside Julianne Moore and Charles Melton.
Throughout her appearances at movie events, Portman's diamond ring has been conspicuously absent from her left hand.
Portman and Millepied, 46, sparked rumors of a split in June after the French dancer was accused of having an affair with climate activist Camille Étienne. The then-married couple and Étienne did not publicly address the claims.
According to a source, "Natalie believes Benjamin’s affair was a brief and foolish relationship that means nothing to him." The source also noted that Portman was "humiliated" by the rumors.
The source also mentioned that Portman was open to exploring the possibility of rebuilding her trust in Millepied, aiming to give their children a stable home environment. (They have a son, Aleph, who is 12, and a daughter, Amalia, who is 6.)
Two months later, Portman was seen at an Angel City FC event in Sydney, Australia, on what would have been her 11th anniversary, but without her wedding ring. Us magazine later confirmed that Portman and Millepied had broken up.
"Following the revelation of his affair, they attempted to salvage their marriage but are presently estranged," a second source informed Us in August.
One month later, another source informed Us that Portman and Millepied had been co-parenting together, but a romantic reconciliation was unlikely. The insider added, "Ben is still hoping for a reconciliation, but Natalie is still unsure. She hasn't ruled it out, but it's not something she wants right now."
Portman and Millepied first met in 2009 while working on Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan.
