During the Fourth Great Ninja War, when Madara was resurrected, Obito realized his mistake in trusting him. Unfortunately, by then, it was too late as Madara had achieved his goals.

Kimimaro was a shinobi from the Hidden Sound Village, taken in by Orochimaru. He was the sole survivor of his clan, and Orochimaru sought to harness his unique kekkai genkai, the Corpse Bone Chain.

The Corpse Bone Chain granted its wielder the power to control and mold every bone in their body at will. They could even extract bones from their body and wield them as weapons in combat.

Orochimaru got sick just as he was trying to steal his kekkai genkai. This illness ended up saving him, allowing him to keep his powers and become a faithful shinobi. Kimimaro was also given Orochimaru's cursed seal, the same kind that Sasuke and Anko have.

After Sasuke left Orochimaru's side, the Sound Four were sent to bring him back but they were unable to do so. Instead of returning, Kabuto decided to send Kimimaro to retrieve Sasuke from the Hidden Leaf Village. However, Juzo, another follower of Orochimaru, warned against this plan due to Kimimaro's fragile health compared to other shinobi.

He left anyway, thanking Juzo for his support. As he approached Sasuke, he easily defeated Naruto Uzumaki in a fight. Just as Naruto was about to be defeated by Kimimaro, Rock Lee appeared and rescued him.

The battle became more intense as Rock Lee struggled against Kimimaro's techniques. Despite his efforts, Rock Lee was eventually overpowered until Gaara came to his rescue. It was during this confrontation that a revelation was made, hinting at the future arrival of Kaguya Otsutsuki in the series.

Kimimaro was a member of the Kagura clan, who were direct descendants of Kaguya Otsutsuki, the first Otsutsuki to come to Earth. Some members of this clan inherited a derivative of Kaguya's Kekkei Moura, known as the All-Killing Ash Bones.

Kimimaro inherited the Corpse Bone Chain from his clan, known for their barbaric nature and eventual demise due to internal conflicts.

Some fans believe that the early introduction of Kimimaro's clan in the show may have hinted at the eventual appearance of Kaguya Otsutsuki during the Fourth Great Ninja War.

It is interesting to note that Kabuto and Orochimaru did not pay much attention to the mysterious character's background. This could possibly hint at the introduction of a major villain in the future of the series. However, it is important to mention that there has been no official confirmation regarding this.
