Microsoft is once again removing a selection of games from the Xbox Game Pass library, as it does every month. On September 30, a total of seven titles will be taken off across console, PC, and the cloud. These games consist of Outriders, Prodeus, Weird West, Moonscars, Last Call BBS, Despot's Game, and Beacon Pines. However, there is a silver lining as players have the option to buy these games at a 20% discounted price if they wish to continue playing them.
Game Pass recently introduced the Souls-like Pinocchio game, Lies of P, and the battle royale game Party Animals, which will be available on September 20. Game Pass subscribers can also look forward to the arrival of Payday 3 on September 21 and Gotham Knights on October 3.
This recent wave of removals follows the elimination of nine games from the catalog on September 15, resulting in a total of 16 games being removed in September. Despite this, Game Pass will still see the addition of seven games in September 2023, resulting in a net loss of nine games for the month. It is important to note that September was not anticipated to be a major month for Game Pass in terms of game volume, as Microsoft released its highly anticipated title, Starfield, this month.
Microsoft has announced that fans can anticipate Game Pass announcements at its Tokyo Game Show event on September 21, suggesting that there might be some surprises in store for the rest of September.
Additionally, Xbox Game Pass Core has recently been released, featuring a roster of 36 titles. Although Microsoft plans to augment the catalog with new games 2-3 times annually, no further additions have been disclosed at this time.
