Post-timeskip Boruto and Kawaki rule the latest V Jump cover

With only four days remaining until the highly anticipated release of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 3, the esteemed V Jump magazine's December 2023 issue has showcased the series on its captivating cover. Fans had previously seen Boruto's design in color, but they were still waiting to see a colored illustration of Timeskip Kawaki. Finally, with the latest cover leak, they got their wish.

Fans were ecstatic about the upcoming release of the manga spoilers, but they expressed disappointment with the cover illustration. Although fans were thrilled to see Boruto without his headband, they felt that Kawaki appeared out of place in the artwork.

A significant number of fans speculated that Kawaki was a last-minute addition to the cover, as his placement seemed awkward. His positioning on the illustration gave the impression that he was a peripheral character observing the protagonist. However, dedicated fans would know that Boruto and Kawaki are typically depicted standing side by side.

In addition, the cover illustration depicted Kawaki wearing a blue t-shirt beneath his jacket, despite the fact that his designated color palette calls for purple. This unexpected depiction gave rise to speculation among fans, who hoped that the blue t-shirt was not intended to be included in his official color scheme.
