Meredith Marks, star of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, recently shared her perspective on the legal drama involving her costars Monica Garcia and Heather Gay. When asked if she was surprised by their legal action against each other, the 51-year-old exclusively told We: "Yes and no."
"Before I heard about the lawsuits, I already had some knowledge about the situation which made it less surprising," she continued. "But it's still unexpected."
Monica, aged 40, and Heather, aged 49, have been facing a legal dispute since August. Heather's Beauty Lab + Laser company filed a lawsuit against Monica, accusing her of breaching a contract and the covenant of good faith and fair dealing. According to the legal documents, Monica allegedly failed to settle a bill of $2,449 for cosmetic procedures despite signing a contract in December 2019.

According to the documents, Monica initially paid $449 but did not follow through with her monthly payments. In September, she filed a countersuit and later amended it in November, claiming that she received defective injections and stopped making payments as a result. She also alleged that she had reached an oral agreement with Beauty Lab to have another party fix the damage caused by their staff's actions.
In November, Heather strongly denied the allegations on Instagram, stating that the lawsuit has no merit. She described the accuser as a desperate individual who lashes out when under financial pressure, and emphasized that Beauty Lab + Laser is an outstanding business.

Meredith not only commented on the lawsuit but also hinted at details about a suspenseful phone call that Heather received while the cast was in Bermuda in May.
In the RHOSLC season 4 trailer, there is a phone call teased that will be shown during the season finale. Heather expressed her frustration to the person on the other line, saying, "Hey, what did you find out? Are you kidding me right now? Shut the f—k up. How could she do this to us? I’m freaking the f—k out!" According to Meredith, Heather "learned stuff" during the call.
"I already knew some things that made the lawsuit less surprising, but there were so many factors involved in this decision that I was truly shocked. It was something I never, ever would have expected in a million years," she hinted. Despite all the drama, Heather told Variety last month that she doubts she will ever work with Monica again.
"I can't speak for my cast members, but for me, it's pretty definitive," she said. Meanwhile, Meredith doubts that Monica and Heather will be able to resolve their issues.
“I believe many individuals are currently experiencing challenges with Monica, and I am uncertain about how they will be resolved,” she told Us. “I am not ruling out the possibility of resolution, as anything is possible, but I am unable to envision how it will occur.”
