Melissa Joan Hart has a new Sabrina in her life.
Hart, 47, gushed about her son’s love life at the 2024 ‘90s Con on Monday, March 18.
"It's so funny that my son is dating a girl named Sabrina," she shared with E! News, referring to her character Sabrina Spellman from Sabrina the Teenage Witch. "Isn't that a coincidence?" Hart added with a laugh, "It's like she put a spell on him!"
Her former co-stars, including Beth Broderick, Nate Richert, Alimi Ballard, Jenna Leigh Green, and David Lasche, all burst into laughter with Hart. (Sabrina the Teenage Witch debuted in 1996 and ran for seven successful seasons, ending in 2003.)
Hart did not specify which of her sons is in a relationship, but after some investigation, we discovered that 17-year-old Mason Wilkerson follows a girl named Sabrina on Instagram. They were seen in photos wrapping their arms around each other during a tropical vacation in Florida, with Mason leaving heart emojis in the comments. Hart's 16-year-old son, Brayden, also follows Sabrina. The actress shares her sons, along with 11-year-old Tucker, with husband Mark Wilkerson.
Even though her son is dating a girl with the same name as Hart's famous character, it's unlikely that they spend their time watching the former show together. Hart revealed exclusively to Us in November 2023 that her kids have no interest in being involved in her career.

"They think it's strange," she mentioned, "And you know what, I kind of understand that. They're like, 'It's just weird. I don't want to see you on TV or watch you kiss another man in a Christmas movie.'" (Aside from Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Hart often stars in holiday-themed films.)
Even though her sons weren't interested in watching her work at first, Hart believed that Sabrina could help them warm up to the idea. "I believe they will eventually, especially because, honestly, my son currently has a friend named Sabrina, so she's been around a lot lately," she shared, pointing out how strange it is to see someone you know acting in a movie.
Hart mentioned that her sons do not plan to pursue acting like their mother. She explained to Us that she is not keen on having them in the industry due to the challenges of auditions and potential rejection. While she acknowledges that facing rejection can be beneficial in preventing them from being too spoiled, she also expressed her reluctance as a mother to see her children go through rejection. Despite this, she mentioned that if her sons were truly passionate about acting, she would support them, but they are not interested in it.
