Matthew 2 Heart Event

Interactions with Matthew commence during a cutscene at Vesta's farm, resulting in a somewhat uncomfortable initial encounter. Following this, players have the opportunity to increase their bond with Matthew by offering him gifts and activating his heart events. To secure a marriage proposal using the blue feather, players must successfully trigger all five of Matthew's heart events.

Visit Vesta's farmhouse shop to initiate a 2-heart event with Matthew. Although giving Matthew a compliment makes him feel shy, he remains grateful, and the ensuing cut scene event contributes to boosting his affection levels.

Matthew 4 Heart Events

Upon exiting Vesta's farm shop and the nearby farm storage room, players have the opportunity to initiate a couple of 4-heart events. Leaving the storage room triggers a cut scene featuring Matthew near the fields. Initially angry, he then expresses his concern for Cecelia, whom he appears to have feelings for.

When players leave the farm shop again, another 4-heart event occurs, with Matthew contemplating something in the fields. By encouraging him to open up and showing sympathy, players can increase his affection and receive a gift. Additionally, players can choose to take Matthew on a date to the Fireworks Festival on day 2 of Summer, as another way to further develop their relationship.

Matthew 6 And 8 Heart Events

When Matthew and Cecelia are at 6 hearts, go to Vesta's farm to initiate a 6-heart event by the river. During this event, Cecelia will leave the player to have a conversation with Matthew. Matthew confesses that while he is not fond of socializing, he genuinely enjoys spending time with the player.

Once Matthew reaches 8 hearts of affection, players can activate an 8-heart event near the windmills at Vesta's farm. Matthew will initially attempt to persuade the player to depart after sharing more details about his past. However, he eventually expresses gratitude towards the player.

Matthew's Marriage Proposal And Wedding Event

Once players have reached 8 hearts with Matthew, they can offer him the blue feather. This will trigger a marriage proposal scene by the river, followed by Matthew and the player assisting various villagers around the village. By the end of the first year, Matthew will move into the player's farm and a wedding will take place in the Forest by the Goddess Pond. In the beginning of Chapter 2, players will see their Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life child with Matthew.

However, if players choose to wait until the end of the year to decide whom to marry, it is important to note that they will only be able to marry Matthew if his affection level is sufficiently high.
