Chapter 8 of World Tour mode in Street Fighter 6 offers a substantial amount of gameplay with seven main story missions and optional Masters to encounter. Unlike previous chapters, this segment does not feel like a tedious task as players will encounter both familiar and new faces. Completing this chapter may take roughly an hour for most players, with additional time needed for leveling up if necessary. With only a few mandatory fights, players may want to consider grinding during the infiltration mission to prepare for the upcoming battles in the following chapter.
Chapter 8 - 1: A Toast to Victory Walkthrough
Players are required to venture into the Back Street area of Hong Hu Lu Chinatown during Chapter 8, where they will come across Jamie. Mistaking the playable character for a member of the Canary Crate grunts, he will challenge them to a one-on-one fight. Although the outcome of the battle does not affect the game's ending, once the cutscene concludes, players can proceed up the alleyway and converse with Li Feng.
Chapter 8 - 2: Tracking the Mystery Code Walkthrough
Li Feng shared with the player that she had retrieved some images from the Bosch data card. These images depicted posters with two numbers on them, which when combined, formed a six-digit code. The player could either search for the posters themselves (two during the day and one at night) or input the code by pressing Triangle (PlayStation) or Y (Xbox) on the messages screen. The six-digit passcode was revealed to be 332951.
Chapter 8 - 3: The Elusive Former National Champ Walkthrough
Upon entering the code, players will receive a message from Asterisk, who introduces themselves and then requests their help in infiltrating the SiRN building located in Metro City. Their mission is to track down Ken, a former national champion. However, in order to access the construction site surrounding the building, players must first purchase a Safety Helmet from Apparel Clerk Gomorrah in the Urban Park area. This crucial piece of gear will allow players to safely enter the site and carry out their mission.
With the helmet on, they enter the construction site and approach the worker wearing a red safety helmet. If they haven't already instigated a fight with the worker, they can do so now. Afterward, they ascend the stairs to locate Ken. The mission can be completed simply by observing him, but it's also feasible to converse with him and request to be his student. Those who have already acquired Ken as a Master at the conclusion of Chapter 7 can naturally overlook this step.
Chapter 8 - 4: Big in Japan Walkthrough
Upon arriving at Chanko House Edomon in the Urban Park area of Metro City, players will be given the task of locating a Japanese fighter. The next step involves entering the Japanese-style building where they will come across E. Honda. In order to progress, players need to take a picture of him using the camera. This can be done by standing at the designated spot where the blue camera icon appears at the bottom of the screen and then selecting "Mission Mode" from the camera app. Additionally, players have the option to speak with Honda and become his student.
Honda will also mention another legendary Japanese fighter who can be found at the Genbu Temple in Japan when speaking with him. This means that players will need to head to the World Map screen. Once they arrive at the temple, their mission is to capture a photo of Ryu. If players wish, they can also request to become Ryu's student, and this will lead to a one-on-one fight. However, as with many other Master fights, winning or losing does not make a difference.
Chapter 8 - 5: Meeting at the SiRN Building Walkthrough
Players will be directed by Asterisk to return to the SiRN Building during the daytime after taking Ryu's picture. They will then need to speak with the security guard outside who will provide them with a Key Card. The next step will be to return at night and their objective will be to steal a SiRN Lab Coat and locate a Name Badge.
Chapter 8 - 6: Scraping the Sky Walkthrough
Upon switching to nighttime, players should make their way into the construction site and take a right turn. Afterwards, they need to ascend the stairs and engage in a fight with Gus before climbing up the ladder in the area behind him. This will lead them to an NPC named Cairo who will inform them that they require the power source of the crane to advance further. Luckily, this is a simple task. They just have to drop down from the rooftop behind Cairo onto the metal beam near Gus and then jump down from the left side of the beam to follow the path leading to the power box.
Once the crane is operational, players can return to Cairo and activate it via the terminal. This will provide access to a shipping container that will transport them to a new area. From here, they need to continue climbing higher, triggering a few cutscenes along the way. Afterward, they must activate another terminal, climb a nearby ladder, and take another ride on a shipping container to reach yet another new area.
As players step onto the container, three Attack Drones emerge from the shadows. While these drones attack one at a time, players need to stay alert as they can deal significant damage. After defeating them, players enter the main SiRN Building. The objective is to climb up to the second floor and speak with NPC SiRN Staff Grace, who informs players about a SiRN Lab Coat that can be found in a nearby chest.
On the third floor, players will encounter SiRN Staff Emil, who suggests that a name badge might be found on one of the upper floors. However, the elevators require higher clearance than the player's current Key Card provides. To gain access, they must upgrade their clearance at a nearby terminal. But before they can do so, Kimberly will attack them, forcing a one-on-one fight. The outcome of the battle is irrelevant.
Once the fight is over, Kimberly will depart, giving players the opportunity to upgrade their clearance and ascend to the fifth floor via the elevator. On the fifth floor, players will encounter a man named SiRN Staff Liu, who informs them that he accidentally left his Name Card in the breakroom. Upon arriving at the breakroom, players will be met with a horde of household appliances that they must defeat before being directed to use fast travel to flee the building. However, before leaving, players should explore the left-hand corridor of the breakroom, where they will discover a chest containing a valuable Stamina Booster.
Chapter 8 - 7: High Flying Man Walkthrough
Players will receive a message from Asterisk upon exiting the building, directing them to visit the security guard outside the SiRN Building during daylight hours. Wearing the Lab Coat is necessary for this mission. The security guard will then instruct them to head to Grace Marina, located on the east side of Metro City, similar to the SiRN Building.
Players will be escorted to an aircraft carrier at the marina, where they will be greeted by Curtis, an NPC seeking their assistance in handling a group of rampaging robots. While the two Hyoombas pose a minimal threat, the Drone's rocket attack can be lethal upon impact. To avoid any potential danger, players should exercise caution and be prepared to utilize healing items if necessary.
Optional Master: Jamie
After successfully defeating all three robots, players will be greeted with a cutscene that introduces them to Guile. As soon as the cutscene ends, Asterisk will instruct the players to take a photo of Guile. To complete this task, they will need to stand in the designated spot, open up the camera app, and select Mission Mode. Once the photo is taken, Chapter 8 will officially end, and players will be rewarded with 5,000 Zenny and a Wrench. Additionally, players can speak with Guile again before leaving to become his student.
Although all five Masters in Chapter 8 of World Tour mode are technically optional, enrolling with one in particular requires players to go the extra mile. Jamie, one of the Masters, can be found on the rooftop where Boluo was met during Chapter 2. After relocating from the alleyway where he was first encountered, Jamie will only agree to take on a student if spoken to at nighttime. Doing so will grant players access to his unique fighting style and several extra moves.
Street Fighter 6 is available now on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
