Fort Solis is the first game developed by Fallen Leaf studio, alongside Black Drakkar Games and publisher Dear Villagers. It follows the story of Jack Leary, a senior engineer stationed on Mars, who is called to investigate an emergency at the remote mining base of Fort Solis. Teaming up with Jessica Appleton, they must uncover the truth behind the disappearance of the outpost's inhabitants in a gripping psychological thriller.

Gameplay in Fort Solis focuses on Quick Time Events and limited exploration within the facility. While players can also find collectibles and take on challenges for completion, the emphasis is on the narrative experience. The game is structured like a 'Netflix series' with episodic chapters or the option to play consecutively. It's worth noting that players cannot manually load saved files; they must continue from the last auto-save checkpoint regardless of their desired point in the story. Therefore, it is recommended to complete the game quickly for an optimal cinematic experience.

Main Story Completion Time

The developers claim that the main story can be completed in approximately 4 hours, but it can actually be done in less than 3, especially for players with a general understanding of their objectives. The first chapter can be finished in 30 to 40 minutes. The second chapter is longer, requiring about an hour of gameplay. Chapter 3 is relatively short, taking around 30 minutes, while the final chapter should take around an hour.

Despite its brevity, Fort Solis offers multiple opportunities for replay value. Many of the game's hidden clues and audio logs can easily be missed, which contribute to the development and depth of the game's characters and storyline during the initial playthrough.

100% Completion

Achieving 100% completion may require a slightly longer time, possibly up to 5 hours. Many collectible items are easily found and achievements are granted for interacting with various objects throughout the station. There are a total of 20 achievements available, making it possible for achievement-hunters to reach 100% completion in a single playthrough. Most players will naturally unlock many of these achievements as they progress through the main story.

In order to reach 100% completion, players must learn how to unlock Helen's safe in the final chapter of the story. Additionally, they need to interact with items such as the beer bottle, snooker table, and punch bag.
