Master the San Andreas Mercenaries DLC in GTA Online

Rockstar Games has once again stepped up to the plate with their latest endeavor to keep GTA Online exciting for players. The San Andreas Mercenaries DLC offers an array of fresh story missions, security contracts, and a multitude of vehicles. With the opportunity to team up with guns-for-hire, players are eager to jump into the action and take on Merryweather Security. However, starting the DLC questline may prove to be a challenge for some, as it requires specific prerequisites that players must meet in order to embark on these new missions.

How to Start the San Andreas Mercenaries DLC

After updating the game to its latest version on either Rockstar Launcher or Steam, players will receive a call from Charlie Reed, the leader of a mercenary group in Los Santos. During the call, Charlie will introduce himself and explain the nature of his mission. The mission will appear on the player's map with the initial "C" to indicate Charlie's involvement. To begin the DLC, players must purchase an expensive item from the Warstocks Cache and Carry website and then head over to Cypress Flats near the Southern Docks of Los Santos where Charlie's mission is located. Skipping this step will only cause unnecessary delays.

Players can access the Doomsday Heist DLC in GTA Online through their in-game smartphone. Instead of physically going to Charlie's mission, they can simply open the internet browser and navigate to the Travel and Transport tab on Eyefind.info. However, the first obstacle that players will encounter is the requirement to purchase a Mammoth Avenger plane in order to access the DLC through the Warstock Cache & Carry website.

Mammoth Avenger Modification

The Mammoth Avenger has been available in GTA Online since The Doomsday Heist update, but its hefty price tag has deterred many players from purchasing it. The basic version of the plane costs $3,450,000 while the upgraded version costs $4,787,500. Even players who already own an Avenger will need to visit the Warstock Cache and Carry website to modify it. Alternatively, players with a Hangar can talk to Charlie to upgrade their Mammoth Avenger.

To access the new DLC, players will need to purchase the Operations Terminal for $1,450,000. However, this cost can be recouped through the mission payouts for the DLC. Once the Operations Terminal is purchased, players can add Charlie Reed as a contact on their smartphone.

To summon their Mammoth Avenger, players can simply navigate to the interaction menu, select services, and click “Request Avenger” without having to physically visit their Facility or Hangar. After locating the aircraft in a suitable location, players can board it and access the new Operations Terminal to begin the DLC Story missions known as “Project Overthrow.” It is important to note that registering as a SecuroServ CEO or Motorcycle Club President is necessary to log in to the Operations Terminal.

Using the Operations Terminal

The Operations Terminal presents players with two distinct options: "Project Overthrow" and "LSA Operations." "Project Overthrow" features six DLC Story Missions that follow the resistance against Merryweather Security, while "LSA Operations" offers missions in a security contracts or client jobs style. Both options can be played with up to three additional players and are known to be highly challenging, according to community reviews.

For those interested in launching "LSA Operations," players can simply call Charlie through their in-game smartphone. While grinding the new DLC for money, it's worth noting that trade prices for LSU mission vehicles are currently high, and can partially offset the cost of the Mammoth Avenger Modification. Players should also keep an eye out for changes in the "LSA Operations," as the rewards and difficulty level may vary on a regular basis.
