Pokemon Sleep has been released for just over two weeks now and has quickly gained a dedicated player community. With proper management from Niantic, the game has the potential to continue evolving and expanding. Pokemon Sleep focuses on the player's sleep patterns, making it a preferred choice for those seeking a less time-consuming alternative to other Pokemon games.
While not without its flaws, the game remains enjoyable. Initially, players are sent to a specific island for research purposes, but few are aware that there are actually four islands that can be visited.
Greengrass Isle
The largest island in the region, known for its fertile land covered with greenery. It hosts the greatest variety of Pokemon.
Requirement: None
Cyan Beach
Players will be sent to Greengrass Isle, the first island in Pokemon Sleep, for Pokemon catching. Unlike other islands, unlocking Greengrass Isle requires no additional actions. Once the game is booted up, players can immediately start exploring and playing on this island. To access the Research Progress and Area Dex for Greengrass Isle, players can navigate to the Main Menu, select Map, and click on the island. Additionally, players can view the Strength Record, located just below the island's name. Notably, Greengrass Isle houses the largest number of Pokemon compared to the other islands.
The shore of fine white sand stretches to the horizon, kissed by a gentle sea breeze. Many Water-type Pokemon live here.
Unlock criteria: Register 20 different Sleep Styles.
Situated adjacent to Greengrass Isle, Cyan Beach is an island renowned for its abundance of Water-type Pokemon, captivating a myriad of players. Nonetheless, it boasts a slightly inferior number of Pokemon compared to its predecessor. To gain access to this island's treasures, players must effortlessly fulfill the requirement of registering 20 diverse Sleep Styles. Additionally, players may encounter a regular Snorlax with a striking green hue.
It is better to stay on Greengrass Isle for an additional week rather than move to Cyan Beach immediately.
Taupe Hollow
Shafts of sunlight pour through the open ceiling to light up the cavern walls. Rock- and Ground-type Pokémon love it here.
Unlock requirement: Register 70 Sleep Styles
Taupe Hollow is a haven for Rock and Ground-type Pokemon, so players who adore the two types should head over to the island once they unlock it.
Snowdrop Tundra
Gorgeous flowers bloom in this freezing tundra, despite the unrelenting snowfall. Many Ice-type Pokémon can be found here.
Unlock requirement: Register 150 Sleep Styles.
The fourth and final island available for exploration in Pokemon Sleep is Snowdrop Tundra. Unlocking this island requires collecting 150 Sleep Styles, which implies that players will have to wait for some time before they can begin their investigations on this particular island.
To move between islands during the week, players can utilize the E-Zzz Travel ticket. This convenient ticket can be purchased for 150 diamonds and is located in the Items section of the General Store.
Pokemon Sleep is now available on iOS and Android.
