Gunfire Games releases a new update for Xbox and PlayStation Remnant 2 players, fixing bugs and improving the player experience.
The studio is dedicated to consistently enhancing and advancing the game, with intentions to release three content packs and implement future quality of life enhancements.
The most recent update incorporates a substantial amount of bug repairs, adjustments to enemy characteristics and balances, enhancements to archetypes, armor, and gear, and improvements to enhance the console playing experience.
Gunfire Games recently released the second update for Xbox Series X/S players, following a smaller hot fix earlier in August. This update brings numerous improvements to performance, resolves progression blockers, and introduces a plethora of quality of life enhancements. Additionally, it addresses enemy, archetype, armor, and gear balancing issues, as well as an extensive range of bug fixes. Players who have been waiting for these issues to be resolved may consider rejoining the game now.
PlayStation 5 players of Remnant 2 also received their own update, which offers similar quality of life enhancements. This includes the inclusion of all unlocked Archetypes in Wallace's inventory and the ability for multiplayer experience gain to be shared across any distance. In addition to bug fixes, the update brings balance changes to enemies, gear, weapons, and more.

More exciting news awaits Xbox players, as Gunfire Games has also announced that an upcoming release, encompassing all the PlayStation updates, will be available in the near future. The developer's main objective is to promptly address the ongoing significant issues by swiftly providing players with a patch.Updates to improve hitching and potential crashes.
Fixed multiple reported crash bugs.
Retroactively fixed as many difficulty-based rewards as possible.

--Quality of Life--
QOL OVERVIEW: Although there are still some ongoing developments regarding Traits and long-term grinding (for those interested), we have made a few adjustments in this patch to offer players more freedom to experiment. Respecing should be much simpler now and players can expect to accumulate more Scrap overall. These changes are not the large-scale ones we have previously discussed on Discord and Reddit, but for the time being, they should alleviate the difficulties of rebuilding your character and trying out different options.
The Orb of Undoing has been upgraded and can now be used multiple times without any limitations. Players have the option to sell any additional orbs they have collected in exchange for Scrap.
The previous requirement for a specific Trait to equip a second Archetype has been removed. Players are now able to slot their second Archetype as soon as they acquire or convert another Engram at Wallace.
Removed the Scrap Cost for converting a Mysterious Item into an Engram (1000 to 0).
Lowered the Lumenite Cost for converting a Mysterious Item into an Engram (10 to 5).
Increased Scrap Gain when killing Aberrations.
Reduced the cost of Bloodroot.
Improved the inventory management of Updated Nimue, Bedel (Old Vaunnt), and N'Erud Vending Machine, and Blood Altar to ensure their items are consistently stocked.
Resolved the issue with the Damage Reduction calculation in Advanced Stats. Despite being a bug, it has been prioritized to address immediately due to providing incorrect information to players.
- Multiplayer scaling per player has been further reduced by 5% (from 15% to 10%). As a result, in a 3 player COOP, all players will now experience a 10% reduction in damage (equivalent to a 5% reduction per player).
- The probability of Cass spawning her special rewards has been increased.

Reduced Vicious enemy affix from 33% to 15%.
Reduced Hearty enemy affix from 25% Max HP to 15% Max HP.
Increased Bulwark Damage Reduction from 6,5,4,3,2% (20% MAX) to 7,6,5,4,3% (25% MAX).
Adjusted Light Armor Damage Reduction Value from approximately 15% to 25%.
Adjusted Medium Armor Damage Reduction Value from approximately 25% to 30%.
Adjusted Ultra Heavy Armor Damage Reduction Value from approximately 45% to 50%.
Increased Light Armor Evade Invulnerability by 2 frames.
Armor Evade Value and Stamina Penalty Reference:
- Light Evade (25 Encumbrance or Lower): 12 iFrames, 0% Stamina Cost Penalty.
- Ultra Heavy (76+ Encumbrance) includes 15 iFrames for the Flop ability, accompanied by a penalty of 75% in stamina cost.
DEV NOTE: No modifications were applied to the Stamina Cost Penalty; these values remain as originally designated. Similarly, the iFrame values for Heavy Evade and Ultra Heavy Flop have not been altered. The alterations related to iFrames only concern the two lighter Weight Classes.
[ Archetypes ]
Handler Companion and Summoner Minions gain increased health per difficulty. On Apocalypse, they will have the highest base health.
Increased the duration of Explorer's Scavenger Buff per pickup from 15s to 20s.
Increased the duration of Explorer's Gold Digger Buffs from 15s to 20s.
The healing amount of the Gold Digger Healing Fountain has been raised from 1.5 to 2.0 HP per second.
DEV NOTE: We aimed to enhance the ability of the Explorer to sustain Scavenger for longer periods in between battles and grant them greater flexibility while the Gold Digger Fountains are active. We extended the durations by 5 seconds each and amplified the appeal of the Healing Fountain.
Increased Archon Havoc Form Blink damage from 100 to 150.
Reduced Archon Havoc Form Cooldown from 120s to 90s.
Adjusted the damage falloff for Challenger's Close Quarters perk. At maximum range, Challenger will always maintain a 10% damage bonus to All Damage.
Handler Archetype
Increased the Handler's Pack Hunter Range from 25m to 40m.
Increased the Base Max Health of Handler's Very Good Boy Companion.
[ Gear / Items ]
Increased Restriction Cord Damage Reduction from 10% to 15%.
Increased Guardian's Ring range from 10m to 15m.
Enabled Mist Step Neutral Backdash attack.
Increased the Fire Damage for Shatterstar (Savior Mod).
Reduced the Fire Rate on Nightfall in Standard and Dreadwalker Fire Modes.
Reduced the Subsequent Tether Damage of Enigma Primary Fire from 75% to 65%.
Reduced the Magazine Capacity of Enigma from 30 to 25.
Enigma's total Reserve Capacity has been raised from 120 to 125 in order to improve its AOE clear performance. It should be noted that Enigma currently overlooks Armor, but this issue will be resolved in the future and the numbers will be reassessed at that time.
Adjusted Annihilation Mine behavior on Survivor difficulty.
Reduced damage on Nightweaver’s grab attacks (Wall and Lunge).
Adjusted the hitbox of Magister Dullain's tongue attack to better match the visuals.
[ Enemies ]
Progression Blocker: Cass no longer wanders out of town, making her store inaccessible.
Progression Blocker: Resolved a bug where the player does not receive interaction from Oracle if they die before one of the children reaches Oracle.
Progression Blocker: Resolved a bug in Sentinel's Keep that would trap the player within a door.
Fixed the issue where Liquid Escape could be lost, which was causing progression to be blocked.
Resolved the problem that was preventing players from completing the tutorial if a crash occurred while interacting with Ford.
Fixed the issue that caused the Tal'Ratha boss fight to be locked out if the game was exited during the cutscene dialogue.
Resolved the problem where the Astropath boss fight would fail to initiate if the game was exited during cutscenes.
Progression Blocker: Fixed the problem of Trait points going into negative values. Negative Trait points have now been changed to positive values. This solution will also resolve the problem of the Second Archetype becoming inaccessible. In case players still come across negative Trait points, acquiring an extra Trait point will convert the negative values to positive.
Resolved the issue of players not receiving achievements while playing multiplayer games.
Fixed an issue with Weapons not unlocking after a Hardcore playthrough.
Fixed an issue with Weapons not unlocking after completing playthroughs at different difficulties.
Addressed an issue that was causing Mudtooth's Elixir to not show up in his inventory. Upon finishing the game, players will now have to unlock the Explorer (Golden Compass) at Wallace.
Resolved issues where Clementine would be found standing in various random spots within Ward 13 after the cutscene in Blackened Citadel.
Achievement fix implemented for co-op players who were spectating at the time they met the Flautist.
Resolved the problem that was causing the Revivalist Trait to not be awarded. It will now be rightfully rewarded after successfully reviving another player 15 times.
Fixed issue with Handler's Very Good Boy not waking the sleeping Huntress when attacking.
Fixed Medic's Redemption cooldown for clients.
Archon's Havoc Form Lighting Hands now have an improved casting speed, which no longer leads to an infinite ramp-up. Additionally, the issue with Hunter's Focus that was preventing the proper Weakspot Damage Bonus has been resolved.
Fixed an issue causing Hunter's Shroud granting multiplicative damage bonus

[ Progression & Rewards ]
Fixed an issue with Aphelion causing it to do drastically reduced damage.
Restriction Cord issues, such as UI abnormalities, memory leaks, and players becoming stuck in the World Stone as a client, have been addressed and resolved. Additionally, the lingering effects of Death's Embrace upon exiting to the main menu and returning to the game have been fixed.
Fixed Enigma ignoring enemy’s resistance. The Overload explosion still ignores resist.
Fixed Dark Fluid buff values being inconsistent for clients.
Fixed issue with Dran Scavenger Ring not correctly working for clients.
Fixed Energized Neck Coil so as to not trigger from ally status applications.
The timer for consuming Processed Koara is now reset when its effect is already active.

--Quality of Life--
Wallace's inventory has been updated to include all unlocked Archetypes. In the event that players have unlocked any Secret Archetype, obtained by converting a Mysterious Item into an Engram, Wallace will then offer them for sale to all future characters. If you want to purchase these Archetypes, simply approach Wallace.
The Damage Reduction calculation in Advanced Stats has been corrected to address a bug. Although it was an issue, we prioritize its resolution as it was providing players with inaccurate information.
Furthermore, the Multiplayer Scaling per player has been decreased by an extra 5%, resulting in a reduction from 15% to 10%. Consequently, in a 3 player cooperative mode, all participants will now experience a 10% decrease in damage (equivalent to 5% less damage per player).
Experience gained is shared across any distance in multiplayer (previously 40m max range) and to dead teammates.

ARMOR IMPROVEMENTS: To enhance the gameplay experience across all difficulties, we have made notable enhancements to various armor types, giving each of them unique advantages. While we believe that the Heavy Armor, with its current damage reduction of approximately 35%, is well-balanced, we found it necessary to bring the other armor types up to its level in their own distinct ways. Obtaining damage reduction through armor has generally been the simplest in the game, and as it holds paramount significance at higher levels, the lower-value armors were becoming less appealing.
Adjusted Ultra Heavy Armor Damage Reduction Value from approximately 45% to 50%.
Increased Light Armor Evade Invulnerability by 2 frames.
