In mid-June, Xbox Game Pass subscription service will bid farewell to six more games in addition to the six titles previously confirmed. This month has seen a significant number of titles being removed from the service, and while the reason behind this is unclear, Xbox has transparently announced which games will not be returning. For Xbox Game Pass subscribers, it is recommended to seize the opportunity and play these games before they are gone. June began with a wave of game removals which saw five different titles leaving the subscription service at the end of May. Amongst them were Europa Universalis 4, Evil Genius 2: World Domination, Floppy Knights, Lawn Mowing Simulator, and FIFA 21 - an EA Play partner game. However, Xbox Game Pass also added several games to their service at the start of June including Car Mechanic Simulator 2021, Slayers X, and The Big Con.
Several popular games are set to leave the Xbox Game Pass service on June 15, and the number has recently increased from six to twelve. Among the newly confirmed games leaving the service are Among Us, Cricket 22, Generation Zero, Naraka: Bladepoint, The Hunter: Call of the Wild, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge, which may come as a surprise to many subscribers. Unfortunately, no explanation was given for the departure of these games or why they were announced later than the others. It's possible that contract negotiations or other issues may have played a role. In any case, those who want to revisit Among Us or TMNT: Shredder's Revenge before they are removed from the service will need to do so before June 15.
In addition to the six games confirmed to be leaving Xbox Game Pass on June 16, a new batch of titles is set to be released throughout the month. These include highly anticipated games such as Amnesia: The Bunker, Hypnospace Outlaw, Rune Factory 4 Special, Stacking, and Dordogne. Additionally, the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase event on June 11 is expected to bring even more exciting announcements for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. While the removal of 12 games in the first half of June may be disappointing, the addition of these new titles should make up for it.
