A city official informed CNN on Monday afternoon that an explosion occurred in downtown Fort Worth. According to Fort Worth Chief Communications Officer Reyne Telles, the explosion resulted in a plume of smoke that was visible above the high rises.
Telles reported that debris has been scattered around the city hall area. The Fort Worth Police Department issued a statement on X, advising people to avoid the downtown area due to a Major Incident. PIOs are at the scene and more information will be shared once confirmed.
