Selling Sunset star Mary Fitzgerald shared that her fertility journey has become more complex as she and husband Romain Bonnet prepare for another round of IVF.

"I have gone through an MRI scan, a full body scan, and I am scheduled for a surgery on my uterus," Fitzgerald, 43, revealed exclusively to We at a party in Los Angeles celebrating her and her husband's Bella Magazine cover on Tuesday, April 9.

"It's going to be a challenging process. It's not going to be as straightforward as we initially thought."

Fitzgerald shared that she is okay with her fertility journey. She mentioned that at first it was difficult for her, but she has had time to process everything. She has taken a strong stance and is passionate about raising awareness for women's issues. Despite not being able to control her own situation, she is determined to support other women in any way she can.

Fitzgerald shared on Instagram in March 2023 that she experienced a septic miscarriage. She mentioned that she had surgery after getting pregnant, but sadly, it didn't end well. The pregnancy and miscarriage were also featured on Selling Sunset season 7, which aired in November 2023.

In a recent interview with Us, Fitzgerald mentioned that she hasn't faced any negative consequences from opening up about her fertility journey so openly.

"I've been open about it, and you know, it doesn't change who I am," she said. "Even though it may feel that way as a woman, it doesn't really affect your value."

Bonnet, who is 30 years old, has been a supportive husband, standing by his wife throughout everything. (Fitzgerald and Bonnet tied the knot in October 2019.)

He exclusively shared with Us on Tuesday that she needs to prioritize taking care of herself and ensuring everything is good. He mentioned that he doesn't want to pressure her and that if something happens, it would be great. They are going to see how things unfold.

The event on Tuesday was a celebration of Fitzgerald and Bonnet's Bella Magazine cover. The couple expressed that shooting the cover was a lot of fun. Their Selling Sunset co-stars Jason Oppenheim and Nicole Young were also present to celebrate the occasion.

"We had the opportunity to unwind and enjoy a classic Hollywood style photo shoot," Fitzgerald excitedly shared. Bonnet chimed in, praising the incredible team and expressing how comfortable they felt during the shoot.
