Mark Sheppard, known for his role in Supernatural, recently shared on Instagram that he narrowly survived a recent health scare. "You're not going to believe this!" Sheppard, 59, said in his post on Saturday, December 2. The photo accompanying his post showed him in a hospital gown with monitors attached to his body, revealing that he collapsed in his kitchen on the way to an appointment the previous day.
The English actor openly shared that he has experienced "6 massive heart attacks" and has been resuscitated "4 times." Sheppard disclosed that he had a 100% blockage in his left anterior descending artery (LAD), also called "the widowmaker," which is a major cause of heart attacks according to the Cleveland Clinic.
Sheppard expressed his gratitude for his wife, Sarah Louise Fudge, and the medical professionals who saved his life. He credited his wife and the Los Angeles Fire Department at Mullholland, as well as the staff at St Joseph's Providence California, for his survival, stating that without them his chances of surviving were almost nonexistent. Sheppard and Sarah got engaged in August 2015 and were married three months later. They have a daughter named Isabella, who is 7 years old. Sheppard was previously married to Jessica Sheppard, and they have two sons named Max and Will.

Despite these feelings, Sheppard, known for his role as Crowley on The CW supernatural series that ran from 2005 to 2020, also shared: "I'm feeling fantastic. Grateful once again. Heading home tomorrow! #spnfamily."
Many of Sheppard's previous co-stars commented to wish him well, such as Misha Collins and Felicia Day.
"Mark! You don’t need to do the most and biggest every time! 6 heart attacks? 2 or 3 would have been impressive enough. You’ve impressed us, okay. Now stop with this heal up and get back on the road with us. Love you, pal," Collins, 49, who played Castiel on the show, shared in the comments.
Day, 44, who portrayed Charlie Bradbury on the TV show Supernatural, also sent a message to Sheppard on his post: "Omg mark I am so glad you’re recovering this is awful! Sending all my love to you and the family ❤️," she wrote.
