Maren Morris and Teddy Swims joined forces for a duet on the emotionally powerful ballad, "Some Things I'll Never Know."
"Teddy's heartfelt performance on this track deeply resonated with me, and collaborating on a duet felt like a cathartic experience," Morris, 33, shared in a statement on Friday, November 17. "I was moved to tears while recording my vocals in the booth. Seeing Teddy's career flourish has been truly exhilarating, and I can't wait for our fans to listen to this new rendition of an already enchanting song."
The country singers released the new version of Swims’ hit song on Friday. Swims praised Morris for beautifully conveying the vulnerability of the song through her performance.
“‘Some Things I’ll Never Know’ holds a deep significance for me as it is from my debut album, I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1),” Swims expressed on Friday. “This song has brought me immense healing and acceptance through the process of writing it, and now I feel privileged to share it with the world. I'm honored to have Maren Morris join me on this track; she truly connected with the essence of the song and has breathed new life into it."
The song "Some Things I'll Never Know" explores the experience of enduring an unforeseen heartbreak and finding the strength to move forward, even in the absence of complete understanding.
As the duo sings, "As I gaze into your eyes, there are no elusive solutions I cannot uncover. It's a sentiment that has eluded me until now. As the night unfolds and my thoughts swirl in a ceaseless cycle, there remains a missing piece of the puzzle. When exactly did your heart release me? Alas, certain mysteries will forever elude me."

Morris' involvement in the song follows her recent divorce filing from husband Ryan Hurd, which we confirmed one month ago. The Grammy winner cited irreconcilable differences as the cause for their split, after being married for five years and having a 3-year-old son named Hayes.
According to an exclusive source, Hurd, 37, was taken by surprise by the breakup announcement. The insider revealed that Morris' decision to file for divorce seemed unexpected and sudden. Additionally, the source noted that Hurd and Morris had contrasting personalities, which potentially contributed to challenges in their relationship.
Earlier this month, Morris appeared to be in high spirits as she playfully mentioned her "yearly existential crisis." In addition to a selfie in front of the mirror, she shared a rundown of recent actions taken. "Chopped off all my hair," she stated. "Welcomed a new furry companion into my life. Restarted taking antidepressants."
