In celebration of their recent nuptials, Madison LeCroy from the TV show Southern Charm, along with her husband Brett Randle, decided to honor a well-known couple on Halloween.

LeCroy, 33, took to Instagram on Tuesday, October 31 to share a picture of herself and Randle channeling a scene from Newlyweds with the caption, "Chicken of the sea #newlyweds."

In the photo, LeCroy wore a white t-shirt and black sweatpants, paying homage to Simpson, who is now 43. She sat on the couch, holding a porcelain bowl. Randle sat next to her, sporting a white tank top and blue basketball shorts. To replicate Nick Lachey's wardrobe, the tee featured a University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill logo. Additionally, Randle applied fake tattoos that resembled the ink of the 98 Degrees singer.

Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, who are now 49 years old, tied the knot in 2002 but divorced in 2006. Just after their wedding, they embarked on a reality TV show documenting their initial years of marriage. There was one remarkable moment when Simpson humorously questioned her husband about the fish dish she was having for dinner.

"At this dinner, I'm having tuna, but it says 'chicken by the sea,'" Simpson playfully commented. "Doesn't that sound silly?"

Lachey responded with a shake of his head and a laugh. "You're acting as if you've never tasted tuna before," he remarked, disclosing that "chicken of the sea" is a specific brand. "Darling, we've had tuna like this before."

Simpson has embraced the humor surrounding her famous "chicken of the sea" line from the iconic Newlyweds episode. She expressed her appreciation for LeCroy's costume by commenting on her Instagram post on November 1, suggesting that it is best enjoyed with miracle whip, apples, and chopped pickles.

LeCroy later shared on her Instagram Story her excitement about Simpson seeing their couple's costumes.

"I literally screamed and startled Brett," she jokingly said on Wednesday. "He was like, 'What?' And I was like, 'Jessica Simpson is messaging me!' It feels like a milestone... and I have a feeling a collaboration might be in the works. Belk, Dillard's, give us a call. I think it's meant to happen."

LeCroy confessed to never attempting Simpson's tuna recipe with Miracle Whip, but humorously remarked that she would now have to alter that. "Pinch me!" she exclaimed. In November 2022, LeCroy tied the knot with Randle, with whom she has a son from a previous relationship.

"There is something incredibly empowering about the level of confidence I currently possess. It provides me with a strong sense of security," she revealed exclusively to We magazine last month when discussing her married life. "I am genuinely deliriously happy. It's astonishing. I have never experienced a love like this before. And the bond between Brett, our son, and me is growing stronger with each passing day."

In the meantime, both Simpson and Lachey have found love again following their divorce. Nick entered into a marriage with Vanessa Lachey in 2011, with whom he has three children. Two years later, Simpson exchanged vows with Eric Johnson, and the couple is also blessed with three children."
