Ganzer attended the event as a tribute to Del Rey's viral moment of waitressing at an Alabama Waffle House during the summer. In the caption, Ganzer shared pictures of herself and Del Rey, mentioning that she purchased a Waffle House employee shirt, a Pepsi bottle, a fun little straw, and a "Lana" name tag sticker for the event. She expressed how special it was to attend a Halloween party dressed as Lana Del Rey, and having the real Del Rey present made it an unforgettable experience.

She expressed gratitude to Del Rey for her ability to find humor in the situation, referring to her as a "queen." Additionally, she mentioned that the acclaimed singer was the subject of the first two pictures posted by Ganzer.

In a recent interview, Del Rey shed light on the origins of the photos depicting her at Waffle House. She clarified that during her visit to Alabama to see her friends, she accompanied her siblings to the restaurant multiple times over the course of several days.

"We had already been working for three hours that day when the servers approached us and asked, 'Would you like shirts?'" she shared with The Hollywood Reporter. "Absolutely! We were beyond excited."

Additionally, she received a name tag and was encouraged to continue waiting on customers, which she willingly did. The photos that were later shared on social media quickly gained immense popularity.

Del Rey jokingly expressed her desire for her album to have gone as viral. She mentioned that upon waking up, she was surprised to receive around 10,000 texts, some from people she had not heard from in a decade. Laughing, she shared an amusing anecdote about someone seeing her picture at the Waffle House and jokingly asked if they had heard her new album.
