Love Is Blind’s Chelsea and Jimmy Reunited Briefly Before Realizing They Were Better Apart (Exclusive)

Love Is Blind exes Chelsea Blackwell and Jimmy Presnell did try to date after deciding not to get married. "We gave it a shot for four days after the show ended," Chelsea, 31, shared with We before the season 6 reunion aired on Netflix on March 13. "But it didn't last long."

Chelsea and Jimmy, both 28 years old, got engaged in the Love Is Blind pods during the Charlotte, North Carolina experiment. Despite facing challenges such as love triangles and merging their lives, Jimmy decided to cancel their wedding plans after Chelsea shared some details about his past relationships on camera. This made him feel like he could no longer trust her, especially since she is a flight attendant.

After filming ended, they attempted to revive their relationship, but it was short-lived.

Chelsea shared with Us that after he called her, she had hoped for a change despite the lack of cameras. She believed their strong connection could make their relationship work. However, four days later, he confessed that the experiment made him realize he did not want a relationship. Chelsea was taken aback as they were supposed to get married. She acknowledged his honesty and respected his feelings.

Jimmy shared with Us before the reunion that he was eager to maintain a relationship with Chelsea after Love Is Blind ended. (Season 6 was filmed in March 2023.)

Despite their efforts, Jimmy revealed that their relationship didn't progress as they had hoped. They spent time together daily after the show wrapped up, trying to reignite their connection. However, things didn't quite work out as they had expected.

Ultimately, Jimmy realized that some major “skeletons in [his] closet” made it difficult to move forward with Chelsea.

Jimmy shared that there was a breach of trust in their relationship. He expressed that he always wants to support and validate her feelings, but preferred to keep those discussions private, off-camera. The couple found themselves repeatedly having the same argument until they both realized that their relationship was not going to work out.

Jimmy broke up with Chelsea because he was worried that she revealed his secret of hooking up with one of his friends while they were being filmed.

Chelsea was shocked by the breakup and said, "I was really, really blindsided." She explained that they had their rough patches, but overall, their relationship was going well. Just a week before, they were happy and talking about their wedding songs.

Chelsea and Jimmy were seen together in Florida in early March, sparking rumors among fans that they may be giving their relationship another shot after filming the season 6 reunion. It's not clear whether their hangout was romantic or just platonic.
