Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd Face Lawsuit for Alleged Wrongful Termination of TomTom Bartenders

Reality TV icons Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd face a tumultuous legal battle, as ex-TomTom bartenders file a wrongful termination lawsuit against the 'Vanderpump Rules' stars

Former employees of TomTom are suing Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd for wrongfully terminating them. Allegedly, Vanderpump and Todd fired bartenders in response to their complaints about working conditions. Documents obtained by We revealed that the lawsuit, filed on January 11, accuses Vanderpump and Todd of blacklisting an employee by defaming him to potential future employers.

The unnamed individual accused Vanderpump and Todd of making false statements and comments that harmed his profession, reputation, and character to various third parties. The bartender claimed the rumors and false statements were made with malicious intent, which had a negative impact on his career. Additionally, the paperwork alleged that TomTom had unsafe work conditions, including sewage backup in the employee break room, and that former bartenders experienced violations of California labor laws, harassment, and unsafe working conditions during this period.

Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz, co-owners of the West Hollywood establishment, were not implicated in the lawsuit. Their business, TomTom, has received significant attention on Bravo's Vanderpump Rules since their partnership with Vanderpump and Todd. The couple also previously opened SUR and Pump in the same area, with Pump later merging with TomTom. Additionally, Schwartz and Sandoval, both aged 41, have expanded with their Schwartz and Sandy's hot spot, which has been in operation since November 2022.

Vanderpump's business hit the news when it temporarily lost its liquor license in March 2023. A report from the Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) confirmed that the WeHo hotspot had its general eating license and event permits suspended. "We've been in the Pump location for 10 years, have a great relationship with the landlord, but the lease is expiring. So, over the next few months, we will decide whether we are going to stay, but haven't made a decision yet," Vanderpump told Us in a statement at the time. "Come by and have a Pumptini."
