Lindsie Chrisley opened up about her decision to not publicly pay tribute to her sister Savannah Chrisley's late ex-fiancé, Nic Kerdiles. Speaking on the "Coffee Convos" podcast with Kailyn Lowry on Thursday, September 28, Lindsie, 34, explained that she felt posting something would come across as insincere, given the events that have unfolded between her and her sister. She emphasized the importance of living for our actions and personal lives rather than seeking validation through social media.
Lindsie, a former cast member of Chrisley Knows Best, faced backlash from her followers for sharing joyful pictures from her birthday celebration instead of paying tribute to Kerdiles after his passing. Kerdiles, who was Savannah's partner from 2017 to 2021, tragically passed away due to a motorcycle accident on September 23rd at the age of 29.
Lindsie shared with Lowry, "The comments were terrible, with people criticizing me for posting happy photos during such a sorrowful period. Despite experiencing personal sadness on my birthday, I decided not to share these photos and took a brief break from social media."
Lindsie explained that she received numerous messages asking if she would share her birthday photos, prompting her to post them on Monday, September 25. However, the comment section was filled with people expressing disapproval, stating that it was inappropriate to post happy photos considering the current situation. Lindsie addressed this issue, noting that many people wrongly assume that her social media feed is a reflection of her entire life.
Before sharing the birthday pictures, Lindsie had initially decided not to say anything publicly about it. This decision was influenced by Kerdiles' sister, who expressed her disappointment that her brother's life was being overshadowed by his connection to Savannah following his death. Lindsie defended Savannah's choice to publicly mourn her late ex but also respected the grieving process of Kerdiles' family.
Savannah paid tribute to Kerdiles shortly after his passing.
"Heaven has welcomed the most exquisite angel today... I yearn for you and cherish you. I will eternally preserve our final 'I love you' messages," she expressed through her Instagram Story on Saturday. "Please grant me a sign that you are at peace. Perhaps it will manifest in a ham and cheese crepe... or a plate of pasta with white sauce... or even your beloved carrot cake."
Recalling their romantic relationship, Savannah expressed, "Our love was intense... and I eagerly anticipate the day when we can ride bicycles together on the heavenly beaches."
Other members of the Chrisley family also shared their thoughts on Kerdiles' passing. Savannah's brother Chase Chrisley wrote on his Instagram Story, "Today, I lost a brother."
Chase, 27, expressed, "I acknowledge that God has a plan, but I am currently unable to comprehend it. Rest peacefully, my dear brother." Despite their denial, Todd and Julie Chrisley, faced a challenging year as they were convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion in January. Todd, 54, is currently serving a 12-year sentence in Florida, while Julie, 50, will be incarcerated in Kentucky for seven years. (Recent news reveals that their sentences have been reduced by approximately two years.) In the absence of their parents, Savannah was granted custody of her younger brother, Grayson Chrisley, as well as her niece, Chloe.
Earlier this month, Savannah discussed her tense relationship with Lindsie, sharing that they have completely stopped communicating. Savannah explained to Nick Viall that Lindsie and her older half-brother, Kyle Chrisley, whom Todd shares with his ex-wife Teresa Terry, were always treated as if they were their mother's own children, but they did not reciprocate the same level of respect towards her.
Savannah claimed that Lindsie's involvement in their parents' court case became complicated. Despite ultimately testifying in support of their father, Lindsie had previously made multiple accusations against Todd. These included her fear of him and his alleged attempt to blackmail her with footage from a supposed sex tape involving her and her ex Robby Hayes. According to Savannah, Lindsie had put herself in a difficult situation and struggled to find a way out.

Lindsie hit back at her sister’s claims on the Thursday, September 21, episode of “Coffee Convos.”
“If [Savannah] feels the need to assign blame to me in order to move forward with her life and responsibilities, that is acceptable," stated the podcast host. "However, it also demonstrates a lack of empathy for others when one behaves as if they are the only person who has lost both parents. Although I did not have the same level of involvement in my parents' lives, their passing still represents a significant loss. It is not appropriate to compare and determine whose loss is greater, as that does not apply in this situation."
