Ethan Slater's ex-wife, Lilly Jay, has broken her silence following the news of their separation and his relationship with Ariana Grande. Speaking to Page Six on Thursday, July 27, Jay expressed that Ariana is the main focus of attention. She mentioned that Ariana is not someone who prioritizes female solidarity, indicating that her family has suffered as a result. Additionally, Jay drew attention to Ariana's marriage with Dalton Gomez, highlighting it as a significant aspect of the story.
Jay, who has a 12-month-old child with Slater, 31, has been primarily focused on being a dedicated mother during their divorce. This comes after Slater officially filed for divorce, ending their five-year marriage. In recent headlines, Slater's relationship with his Wicked costar Grande, 30, became public knowledge. Notably, Grande also ended her relationship with Gomez, 27.
"Ariana and Ethan are currently in a new relationship. Ariana recently ended her relationship with Dalton in January, while Ethan is currently separated from his wife," a source exclusively revealed to Us on Tuesday, July 25. "Although Ariana and Ethan have only recently started dating, they are having a great time together and genuinely enjoying each other's company."
Slater and Grande, who first crossed paths on the set, have chosen to keep their relationship private. Additionally, a separate source revealed that their bond came as no shock to those in their inner circle.
"Ariana and Ethan displayed a lack of caution," the insider revealed. "They openly held hands on set, without making any effort to conceal it."
Currently, Grande is directing her attention towards her future, following her separation from Gomez after two years of marriage. "Ariana is resolute in her determination to move forward," a third source informed Us. "Regardless of the sadness surrounding the situation, both parties agree that this is ultimately the right decision. Ariana and Dalton possess contrasting personalities."

Grande publicly honored Gomez on their second wedding anniversary, just two months before their relationship with Slater became a topic of interest. Sharing an Instagram photo of the couple at their nuptials, she expressed her love for him by captioning the image, "2, (3.5 together!!!). I adore him."
Grande has remained relatively absent from social media while filming Wicked, only making a rare appearance in April to speak out against body-shaming. She expressed her discomfort with addressing the issue but emphasized the importance of supporting and protecting one another by finding better ways to express concern or disregard negative comments.
Grande emphasized that beauty comes in various forms and that there are multiple ways to appear healthy and beautiful. She clarified that the body being compared to her current one was actually the unhealthiest version of her body. During that time, she was experiencing the lowest point in her life, contrary to what others perceive as her being "healthy." Grande stressed the importance of not judging others based on their appearances as we never truly know what they may be going through. Thus, she urged everyone to be compassionate towards one another and themselves.
