Liam Payne recently shared a photo giving fans a peek into his life as a dad. In the picture, his 6-year-old son Bear expresses a big dream - to be on a billboard just like his dad one day. Liam captioned the cute snapshot he posted on Friday, March 1 with, "I want to be on a billboard one day daddy."

In a heartwarming photo, Bear, who will be turning 7 on March 22, can be seen wearing a stylish gold coat. He has his back turned to the camera, gazing up affectionately at a large billboard featuring Liam in London's Leicester Square. The billboard promotes Liam's latest single "Teardrops."

Liam Payne shares his son with his ex-partner Cheryl Cole, who is also a singer. The couple first crossed paths in 2010 when Liam auditioned for The X Factor, where Cheryl was a judge. Their romantic relationship began in February 2016. About two years later, Cheryl, now 40 years old, revealed that she was expecting their first child. Bear came into the world in March 2017.

Cole and Payne eventually split and ended up coparenting. Payne moved on with girlfriend Kate Cassidy in 2022, while the former One Directioner has praised Cole’s parenting since their breakup.

During a March 2022 appearance on the “Impaulsive With Logan Paul” podcast, the pop star expressed, “She is the best mom in the world. I couldn’t ask for someone better.” He also mentioned, “The relationship we have now as friends has only grown more. We broke up for a reason and now she gives me full autonomy of my life and to do what I do. I know [Bear’s] taken care of. He is all she cares about and I couldn’t ask for more. They live, like, three minutes from my house.”

Since welcoming their son, Payne and Cole have made an effort to keep him out of the public eye and rarely share photos of him. However, every now and then, the former One Direction member can't resist talking about his little boy.

In a YouTube video last year, Payne shared, "Spending time with Bear has been amazing. He's much smarter than I'll ever be. He's truly a marvel, and right now, he's learning to talk, which is so exciting to witness his growth."

At the time, Payne even recalled a funny dad moment he had when Bear called him out for his spelling mistake.

“[Bear] actually texted me the other day from his iPad saying, ‘Hello, Dad.'”

Liam said he responded by typing back “‘ello,” to which Bear wasn’t a fan of and caused him to respond, “‘No, no, it’s not ello, it’s hello with an H.’”
