Enzo Maresca has agreed to become the new manager of Leicester, according to sources. The former footballer, who currently serves as Manchester City's assistant manager, was offered the position on Thursday and has reportedly accepted the job.
Maresca's appointment as the next Leicester boss is pending finalisation of certain details and resolution of contractual matters. The Foxes have been on the lookout for a new manager since parting ways with Dean Smith, who was unable to prevent the club's relegation to the Championship during his eight-game stint as the interim boss.
Leicester's managerial position was taken over by Smith after Rodgers left his post following four successful years. Under Rodgers' leadership, Leicester claimed their first-ever FA Cup victory. Currently, Rodgers is expected to return as the Celtic manager for the second time.
