In a remarkable turn of events, Lazio's goalkeeper Ivan Provedel stunned everyone by scoring a crucial equalizer in the 95th minute against Atlético Madrid in the Champions League. Despite trailing 1-0 from Pablo Barrios' first-half goal, as the match reached its final seconds, Provedel took a bold leap forward to join the attack during a late corner.

Lazio's initial cross was swiftly deflected, reaching Luis Alberto. However, the midfielder skillfully directed a superb pass to facilitate Provedel's remarkable sprint, ultimately enabling the goalkeeper to expertly nod his header into the net's corner.
Frenzied scenes erupted inside Stadio Olimpico when the goal was scored, leading to the Lazio bench rushing onto the pitch to celebrate with Provedel. Provedel, at 29 years old, becomes the fourth goalkeeper to score in the Champions League and the first since Vincent Enyeama scored for Hapoel Tel Aviv during the 2010 qualifying rounds.
"It's a night that I will remember for the rest of my life," Provedel expressed to UEFA following the conclusion of the game with a 1-1 scoreline.
"I'm delighted, particularly because we were able to equalize a match that we didn't deserve to lose. I haven't fully grasped it yet; later on, I will comprehend that I have scored in the Champions League.
"Football can be defined by its moments rather than overall performance. I regret that we had to level the score in the final second. Nevertheless, I aspire for this point to inspire us, cultivating motivation and enthusiasm."
Provedel became just the fourth goalkeeper to score in the Champions League.

Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri insisted that his team deserved a draw against Atlético Madrid, who are arguably the favorites to top the group.
"At halftime, it was unjust that we were trailing based on how both teams had played. We were at risk of feeling like victims of unfortunate circumstances," Sarri stated to Sky Sport Italia.
When questioned about Provedel's equalizer, Sari, who is 64 years old, responded by saying, "In the end, we managed to find a solution!"
In another match of Group E, Feyenoord defeated Celtic 2-0, placing them at the top of the rankings following the initial round of matches.
Lazio faces Celtic in the next group game, while Feyenoord takes on Atlético Madrid.
Meanwhile, reigning champion Manchester City produced a comeback win at home to Red Star Belgrade.
Osman Bukari had given the visitor a surprise lead but a brace for Julián Ãlvarez and a goal from midfielder Rodri secured a 3-1 win for the English Premier League side.
