Larsa Pippen responded to Real Housewives of Miami costar Adriana de Moura's claim that she spent "10 years kissing the Kardashians' ass" by making it clear that she doesn't "hide in anyone's shadow."
In an interview published on Thursday, January 11, Pippen, 49, told People, "Adriana is essentially the same person she was 13 years ago ... She says that because she hasn't evolved. For me, I've evolved and come a long way from where I was 13 years ago. So I don't pay her or anyone else who says that any attention because I am focused on the things that matter, the things that make a difference for me and the people around me."
The season 6 mid-season trailer, released in December 2023, depicted a heated argument among the ladies, including Lisa Hochstein. During the exchange, de Moura responded to Pippen's insult of their costars by reminding her of her time spent in L.A. with the Kardashians. Pippen, previously married to NBA legend Scottie Pippen from 1997 to 2021, mentioned having "always" had "famous friends" but insisted she does not "tie myself to anyone," and she shares four children with Scottie.

Larsa clarified, "If you're familiar with me, you'll know that I've dedicated the past decade to building my brand and supporting my amazing kids. That has truly been my focus. I haven't been anywhere else, trying to impress others. I've always resided in various states, surrounded by influential friends, and continuously striving for personal and professional growth."
"I value my independence. I am comfortable with being alone," she expressed, emphasizing that she has been self-reliant for many years.
Larsa had a strong bond with the Kardashian family, especially with Kim Kardashian, but their friendship came to an end in 2020. Although Larsa professed to be unaware of the cause of their fallout in a February 2022 episode of RHOM, she later mentioned that Kim's divorce from Kanye West caused a rift between them.

Larsa confessed during a RHOM confessional that she was once close friends with Kim and loved both her and Kanye. She felt caught in the middle of their relationship and ultimately suffered because she knew too much. This was the downfall of their friendship. Kim has not addressed the reasons behind their friendship's demise.
