Hey, Little Monsters! Lady Gaga hinted that she might team up with Beyoncé again. At the premiere of Gaga Chromatica Ball in Los Angeles on May 23, fans asked the 38-year-old singer if she would do a sequel to their hit song "Telephone."
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she mentioned that she would always want to answer the phone when Beyoncé calls.
The duet, first released in 2009 on Gaga's The Fame Monster album, won a MTV Video Music Award for Best Collaboration and received a Grammy nomination. Speculation arose earlier this year about a possible sequel when Beyoncé, 42, teased a trailer for her Cowboy Carter album in February. Fans quickly noticed similarities in the visuals between her and Gaga's music video, such as Beyoncé driving a yellow cab through the desert in the introduction, although the passenger seat remains partially hidden.
The image sparked memories of the scene from the music video "Telephone" where Beyoncé picks up Gaga from prison and they drive through the desert. In this scene, Beyoncé was driving the bright yellow P–y Wagon from Kill Bill: Volume 1, and the video ended with the words "to be continued."
