Kylie Minogue's talent for creating catchy songs has been evident since the 1980s, and she has no intentions of slowing down. In fact, she has raised the bar with new music and a residency in Las Vegas.
In an exclusive interview, the 55-year-old "Can't Get You Out of My Head" singer opened up about her self-discovery since the release of her self-titled album in 1988. Reflecting on her journey, Minogue shares, "I delve deep into myself and discover that I possess a resilient spirit and strong determination. I consider myself a modest achiever, preferring to focus internally rather than making a lot of noise about my accomplishments. This realization hasn't changed; I've come to accept that this is the path I'm meant to follow."
Over the past three decades, the Grammy winner has achieved remarkable success, becoming the highest-selling Australian artist of all time. In addition, she has secured a place in the Guinness Book of World Records and has headlined at Glastonbury. However, the moments that bring her the greatest pride in her career are overcoming the obstacles posed by those who doubted her abilities. As she explains, "I am currently in a favorable position, but I am aware of the sacrifices made to get here."
She further emphasizes, "What makes me proud is that I have managed to find my way through those challenges. Despite feeling fear, I have overcome it and continued to strive for improvement, to connect with people, and to gain a deeper understanding of myself."

Minogue takes pride in her ability to handle critics of the music genre she has dominated. According to her, there have always been individuals who undermine the significance of pop music. However, she is not afraid to confront and challenge them because being an artist involves various complexities. In September, Minogue unveiled her 16th studio album, Tension, which she describes as a genuine reflection of her current self. She explains that authenticity, for her, means embracing the electropop genre while stepping slightly outside her comfort zone.
She describes it as having a very liberated atmosphere, with a sense of freedom. The Melbourne Native is looking forward to showcasing her new songs, such as "Hold On To Know", "Tension" and "Padam Padam", during her residency at Voltaire at the Venetian Resort Las Vegas, starting on Nov. 3. The venue, known as Voltaire, is a specially designed club that combines the elements of a 1930s club and Studio 54, with a capacity of up to a thousand people, creating an intimate setting.
While Minogue acknowledges that the show she will be presenting is not exactly what she had originally envisaged for Sin City - "I have previously done tours on a grand scale...this is a unique approach" - she is enthusiastic about embracing a more intimate atmosphere. "It harkens back to the performances that Frank Sinatra or Elvis would have given before Las Vegas became larger, and I find that truly remarkable."
"We are going to create a tremendous buzz and deliver an electrifying experience," she announces. "Essentially, we will be taking it up a notch to the maximum level."
