Adele made a surprise announcement during her Weekends With Adele show at Caesars Palace on Friday, May 17. Fans were thrilled to see her return to her Las Vegas residency over the weekend. The singer, who is 36 years old, sent the crowd into a frenzy with her unexpected news.

Adele, the "Easy on Me" singer, shared with her audience that once she finishes her commitments and shows, she wants to have a baby. She expressed her desire for a daughter since she already has a son. Adele believes that her daughter might become the person she loves and hates the most in the world, jokingly predicting that she will put her in her place all the time.

The singer, who had to take a break from her residency due to illness in March, also mentioned her partner, Rich Paul, while discussing the idea of having a daughter.

Adele jokingly remarked, "With me as her mother and Rich as her father, she’s going to be a bossy little queen, isn’t she?"

During the show, the singer also made a special mention of her partner Rich's 42-year-old daughter, Reonna Simone Paul.

This weekend is my stepdaughter Reonna's graduation from Clark Atlanta University," she shared with everyone. "I am so proud of her and I love you, darling."

Adele is also a loving mother to her 11-year-old son Angelo, whom she co-parents with her ex-husband Simon Konecki.

The Grammy award-winning artist and Rich were first seen together in July 2021 at the NBA finals. Two months later, Adele made their relationship public on Instagram by posting a picture of them cuddling.

Adele described Rich as incredibly funny and smart during a CBS interview in November 2021. She found him hilarious and very clever, admiring his abilities.

She also mentioned that her reaction to things that hurt her has changed now that she feels more secure in herself. This applies not only to romantic situations but also to any challenges she faces in general.

Adele started calling Rich her husband two years later, but it was confirmed that they were not legally married.

According to a source who spoke exclusively to Us in October 2023, "They aren't married but they do refer to each other as husband and wife and have been doing so for a while now. Adele appreciates the sense of security and how much he loves her. At this point, marriage is more of a formality for them. They already live and behave like a married couple."

The singer shared openly about her experience with motherhood while speaking at The Hollywood Reporter’s Women in Entertainment Gala in Los Angeles on December 7, 2023.

In her acceptance speech for the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award, Adele talked about becoming pregnant with Angelo in 2012 after the success of her album, 21.

"It felt like pandemonium to me," she said, describing her sudden success. "All of a sudden, I was famous overnight. It was the weirdest and most surreal experience of my life, even till this day."

Adele recognized that many people would think that becoming pregnant while her career was booming would be detrimental to her success.

She continued, "But I decided to go against the norm. I refused to believe that success is scarce and that you have to always be in the spotlight to be successful."
