Adele caused worry when she shared on social media on February 27 that she was postponing her Las Vegas residency due to an undisclosed illness.
In her message, she mentioned, “Unfortunately, I need to take a break and delay my Las Vegas residency. I was unwell at the end of the last part of the tour and during my break. I didn't fully recover before the shows started again, and now I'm ill again, which has affected my voice.”

Adele was supposed to perform every weekend in March, but due to doctor's orders, she has to rest completely. As a result, the remaining 5 weekends of this leg are being postponed to a later date. Details are being sorted out and you will receive the information soon.
At the moment, Adele's shows scheduled for May and June are still on track, despite the postponement of the March performances.
She captioned the post with, "I love you, I’ll miss you like mad and I’m sorry for the inconvenience."
Adele joked on stage one day before announcing the cancellations that the character Ursula from The Little Mermaid had visited her to steal her voice.
Last night, I was feeling exhausted. I could barely hide it in my voice while talking and singing. According to the Daily Mail, on February 26, I shared with the audience that I had not slept well. It felt like Ursula from the ocean was sitting on my chest, making it difficult for me to hit the high notes. My chest was burning, and I was struggling.
I mentioned to the crowd that I would need to take a break from singing to rest my voice. After the show, I expressed my need for a "vocal rest" and joked about how challenging it would be for me to stay silent for three days.
Adele had originally planned to kick off her Weekends With Adele residency at Caesars Palace in January 2022. However, she had to delay the shows due to various challenges, including production issues.
In an emotional Instagram video, Adele expressed her apologies for the postponement. Holding back tears, she explained, "I’m so sorry, but my show ain’t ready." Despite putting in every effort to make it happen on time and up to standards, the production team faced setbacks such as delivery delays and COVID-related issues. Adele revealed that half of her crew had contracted COVID, making it impossible to complete the show in time. She emphasized, "I can’t give you what I have right now."
Her residency officially kicked off in November 2022.
