Sean "Diddy" Combs' purported threat against Kimora Lee Simmons has come to light again following Cassie's lawsuit against him for sexual assault and abuse.
Simmons, who is currently 48 years old, was featured in a profile by New York Magazine during her attendance at the 2004 benefit performance of The Owl and the Pussycat at Manhattan City Center, along with a subsequent event. The article references a previous incident whereby "Kimora made a comment to Combs, and he issued a threat to physically harm her."
Simmons added, “And I was pregnant! The moron!”
According to the interview Diddy, now 54, “eventually got down on his knees in public to apologize.”
Simmons provided an update on her relationship with Diddy, acknowledging his skills as a determined entrepreneur and expressing gratitude for his admiration towards her late husband. The 2004 profile resurfaced on social media when Cassie filed a lawsuit against Diddy on November 16, prompting fans to revisit the past.
Court documents obtained by We refer to the singer, Casandra Ventura, as a "victim of sex trafficking." The documents also allege that she was subjected to physical abuse, pressured to consume drugs, and coerced by Diddy to engage in sexual acts with male prostitutes while being recorded.
In a statement to The New York Times, Cassie expressed that she is now prepared to share her story after enduring years of silence and darkness. She aims to not only raise awareness for herself but also to advocate for other women who experience violence and abuse in their relationships.
Cassie and Diddy were in an on-again, off-again relationship for 11 years until 2018. However, Cassie moved on and got married to Alex Fine in September 2019. They now have two daughters together, Frankie (3) and Sunny (2).
In response to Cassie's lawsuit, Diddy's lawyer, Ben Brafman, released a statement denying the allegations.
"Mr. Combs vehemently denies the offensive and outrageous allegations made against him. Over the past six months, he has endured persistent demands from Ms. Ventura for $30 million, all under the threat of her writing a damaging book about their relationship. This demand was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail," stated a spokesperson. "Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit filled with baseless and outrageous lies, with the intention of tarnishing Mr. Combs's reputation and seeking financial gain."
