The New York Police Department denied reports of an investigation into Sean “Diddy” Combs following a sexual assault and abuse lawsuit filed by Cassie on November 16. According to the organization's Deputy Commissioner, Public Information, there is currently no ongoing investigation. The NYPD takes allegations of sexual assault and rape very seriously and encourages victims to come forward and file a police report to receive support, services, and to ensure a thorough investigation is conducted.
TMZ had previously mentioned that the NYPD case involving Diddy was inaccessible, citing its sensitive nature.
The inaccurate report of the investigation surfaced just a day after the news broke about Cassie filing a lawsuit against Diddy, her former collaborator and on-again, off-again boyfriend.
According to the lawsuit obtained by Us, Cassie is described as a "victim of sex trafficking." She alleges that Diddy coerced her into engaging in sexual activities with male prostitutes while being recorded, forced her to consume drugs, and physically assaulted her in luxury hotels and his residences throughout the country. Additionally, Cassie claims that Diddy sexually assaulted her against her will in 2018. In a statement to The New York Times on Thursday, November 16, she declared, "After enduring years of silence and darkness, I am finally prepared to share my story and advocate for myself and other women who suffer from violence and abuse within relationships."

Diddy's attorney, Ben Brafman, firmly denies the offensive and extreme claims made against his client. Brafman emphasizes that for the last six months, Mr. Combs has been continuously pressured by Ms. Ventura to pay $30 million, with the threat of her writing a damaging book about their past relationship. This demand was unequivocally rejected as outright blackmail.
Furthermore, Brafman explains that despite Ms. Ventura withdrawing her initial threat, she has now resorted to filing a lawsuit filled with unfounded and outrageous lies. It appears that her intention is to smear Mr. Combs's reputation and seek financial gain.
Cassie's legal team contended that she refused a substantial offer from Diddy, alleging that it was an attempt to silence her.
In her lawsuit, Cassie further asserted that Diddy was "extremely furious" when he discovered her relationship with Kid Cudi in 2012, and allegedly threatened to destroy the musician's car. Her court documents stated, "During that period, Kid Cudi's vehicle exploded in his driveway." A representative for Cudi confirmed the veracity of Cassie's statement.
