Kim Zolciak-Biermann and Kroy Biermann seemed to savor an Italian dinner as they celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary, even though they are in the process of getting divorced. The couple, aged 45 and Kroy, shared glimpses of their meal at Mezza Luna Pasta and Seafood in Smyrna, Georgia on Kim's Instagram Story on Saturday, November 11.
"This is the most delicious bruschetta I have ever tasted," exclaimed the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star, proudly presenting a selection of plates. "And now, let me introduce you to our exquisite lasagna. It is absolutely extraordinary."
Joining in the conversation, Kroy, aged 37, added, "Truly unbelievable." Kim and Kroy proceeded to raise their glasses, toasting with the management of the restaurant.
Kim and Kroy tied the knot in 2011 and have four children together - Kroy “KJ” Jr. (12), Kash (11), and twins Kaia and Kane (9). Additionally, Kroy legally adopted Kim's two eldest daughters, Brielle (26) and Ariana (22), after they got married. However, the couple recently filed for divorce in May.
According to court documents obtained by We, their official date of separation was listed as April 30. The divorce proceedings became tense very quickly. Kim requested that Kroy undergo a drug test, expressing significant concerns about the safety of their children. On the other hand, Kroy sought sole custody of the kids and accused Kim of having a gambling addiction, insisting that she undergo a psychological evaluation.
Despite resolving their differences and calling off their divorce in July, their reconciliation proved to be short-lived as Kroy initiated divorce proceedings once again in August. This time around, Kroy sought full custody of their children, alimony, child support, and exclusive use of their residence in Atlanta.
A few weeks later, Kim reassured her followers on Instagram that everything was fine. She stated, "I am currently residing here and have no intention of leaving! We have been actively working on improving our marriage and have been living like a married couple," in an Instagram Story posted on September 8th.
Days later, a confidential source revealed to Us that the couple's current state is in constant flux, describing their situation as an ongoing yo-yo that shows no signs of conclusion.
In court documents filed later that month, Kim asserted that she and Kroy had engaged in sexual activity multiple times after initiating their divorce proceedings in May. Conversely, Kroy's legal team countered by affirming his continued desire for divorce.
According to Kroy's September court documents, engaging in sexual relations with [Kim] does not imply a desire to reconcile. He remains resolute in wanting to separate from [Kim], leave the marital residence with the children, and create a calm and stable home for them, contrasting the current environment.
Last month, it appeared that they were on friendlier terms as Kroy accompanied Kim to Los Angeles for a vaginal rejuvenation procedure.
Kroy accompanied her to provide assistance during the major surgery, a reliable source revealed exclusively to Us. The source also acknowledged the unconventional nature of their relationship, mentioning that despite their ongoing divorce proceedings and the negative comments they make about each other, they still choose to travel together.
