Kendall Jenner Faces a Kitchen Mishap While Attempting to Slice a Cake with an Icing Tool

In a recent episode of The Kardashians, streaming on Thursday, November 9, Kendall Jenner, 28, threw a small party to celebrate the arrival of her new horse. Khloé Kardashian and Kris Jenner joined in the celebration to welcome the new addition to Kendall's family.
After extinguishing the candle on her cake, Kendall quickly encountered an issue. "Is this carrot cake? I'm really in the mood for some," she expressed, while searching for a suitable utensil. "Which knife should I use? I want to make sure I cut it correctly and avoid any mistakes."
Kris, aged 68, first noticed that Kendall had taken "a spatula" instead of a knife. Khloé, aged 39, corrected both her mother and sister by saying, "That's an icing tool. That's how you ice a cake."
After choosing a knife, Kendall encountered a new issue swiftly. "That was more difficult to cut than it should have been," she observed. "What did I do incorrectly, guys? It's not coming out. Oh, I was gripping it too low."
In a confessional, Khloé teased Kendall about her struggles in the kitchen, playfully remarking, "Kendall, it's clear that the kitchen is not your comfort zone. Cutting food is definitely not your strong suit."
Kendall's culinary abilities have been a continuous talking point ever since the first season of The Kardashians, when she infamously made an incorrect cut on a cucumber.
"I was really surprised when I watched it again," she reminisced at a press event in June 2022. "I had this moment of self-reflection, thinking, 'Why did I edit it that way?'" Taking it seriously, she sought guidance from one of her chefs, asking, "Could you assist me? Can you show me where I went wrong and how I can improve?"
Khloé disclosed that Kendall was genuinely distressed by the overwhelming response the scene received on social media.
“She’s not pleased [about the video]. It's quite interesting — I'm like, ‘Kendall, life is fair,'” Khloé expressed on an episode of the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast at that time. “You're the most stunning human being in the world. Your toes have a unique appearance, God bless. And yet, you struggle to cut a cucumber. The world is good because … how can you be this flawlessly perfect? She has the ideal life. You can't cut a cucumber? Please, come over and stay with me for one week. She'll truly shed tears. Oh, my goodness. But I'm going to educate her.”
In a previous episode, Kendall insisted that she wasn't bothered by the moment that went viral. “By the way, guys, I safely cut that cucumber. For those who believe I can't cut a cucumber, it was sliced. It was cut. People now think it's meant as an insult,” she stated in a September episode. “You think you're offending me? Because you're not. Who cares?”
Kendall stated, "If that's the only criticism you have for me, feel free to continue. I won't address this cucumber situation any further."
