Kendall Jenner emulated Marilyn Monroe for Halloween, taking inspiration from her sister Kim Kardashian.

The 27-year-old paid tribute to the iconic blonde bombshell by sporting a curly platinum blonde wig along with a form-fitting black turtleneck from Intimissimi and white pants. Kendall shared a collection of photos on Instagram on Sunday, October 29, showcasing her impressive costume. It appears that her ensemble references Marilyn Monroe's well-known 1953 Life photoshoot.

Kendall wrote, alluding to the famous 1962 occurrence when Monroe sang "happy birthday mister president" to President John F. Kennedy. This is not the initial instance where a member of The Kardashians emulated Monroe's appearance. At the 2022 Met Gala, 43-year-old Kim wore the same dress Monroe wore during her serenade to the deceased former president.

Kim remembered singing Happy Birthday to John F. Kennedy, who symbolizes America, and wondered where the dress she wore was. Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museum offered her the opportunity to try on the dress. At first, the dress didn't fit over Kim's hips, but she was determined to make it work. She shared that she achieved a weight loss of 16 pounds in three weeks by wearing a sauna suit, exercising on the treadmill twice a day, maintaining a clean diet, and eliminating sugar and carbs.

On May 2, 2022, Kim Kardashian made an appearance at The 2022 Met Gala, which showcased the theme "In America: An Anthology of Fashion" at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. This event was captured by Kevin Mazur/MG22/Getty Images for The Met Museum/Vogue.

Kim ultimately walked the red carpet in Monroe's dress for a few minutes but then changed into a replica for the remainder of the event. Collector Scott Fortner later claimed that the dress was badly damaged after Kim wore it and shared photos allegedly showing missing crystals and tearing at the zipper. Ripley's later issued a statement denying that Kim had harmed the dress at the Met Gala. Following in Kim's footsteps, Kourtney Kardashian dressed up for Halloween in the same floral Givenchy gown by Riccardo Tisci that Kim had worn to the 2013 Met Gala while pregnant with her daughter, North.

Kourtney shared pictures on Instagram, holding her baby bump, with the caption "Freaky Friday." (Kourtney and Travis Barker are expecting their first child together.)

These photos were posted following the ongoing rivalry between Kourtney and Kim on season 3 of the reality series. The disagreement centered around their individual collaborations with Dolce & Gabbana. Kourtney accused Kim of exploiting her wedding for personal gain, while Kim believed her sister was imitating her 2014 wedding to Kanye West.

"I got married in Italy, so are you insinuating that you imitated me by also getting married in Italy? Guess who performed at my wedding – Andrea Bocelli. And guess who also performed at Kourtney's wedding? Andrea Bocelli," Kim exclaimed during a July episode. "You took my f---king wedding destination and my wedding singer. Andrea Bocelli is my all-time favorite male singer, yet I'm supposedly the one copying your Dolce Vita lifestyle?"
