Princess Kate Middleton's photo editing scandal is causing quite a stir around the world, even within her own family.

Kate's uncle, Gary Goldsmith, shared his disbelief on GB News on Thursday, March 14, stating, "When it came out, I said there's not a chance in hell that Catherine would have Photoshopped that herself. And then she says she did, so my inside track went sideways there."

Goldsmith expressed that the most obvious thing in the picture is the beautiful family and their smiles should be the focus, not 'sleevegate.'

Kate, who is 42 years old, has been recovering privately from a planned abdominal surgery since January. She recently broke her silence on March 10, on the U.K.'s Mother's Day, by sharing a new photo with her three children: Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5.

The Princess of Wales shared in a statement this week that, like many amateur photographers, she sometimes likes to try out editing. She also apologized for any confusion caused by the family photo shared yesterday and wished everyone a happy Mother's Day.

Kate and Kensington Palace have not commented further on the photo controversy, choosing instead to focus on her ongoing recovery.

Goldsmith praised Kate's support system, stating that she has the best support on the planet with the best infrastructure and people taking care of her.

According to a source in the latest issue of We, Kate's condition is still shrouded in secrecy, leaving many family members and senior staffers uninformed.
