Princess Kate has proven time and time again that mixing high and low pieces never goes out of style.
Kate, a 41-year-old mother of three, looked effortlessly stylish at the Rugby World Cup quarter finals on Sunday, October 15. Her outfit was perfectly balanced, with a sophisticated touch. She chose a double-breasted white blazer from Zara, complete with shoulder pads and textured gold buttons. The blazer was paired flawlessly with black wide-legged trousers from Rolan Mouret, adding a touch of elegance. To complement her ensemble, Kate accessorized with a Cartier watch and a black quilted Chanel purse. She opted for loose waves for her hair, while keeping her makeup simple with her signature black eyeliner and nude lipstick.
Kate initially donned the blazer, which can still be purchased on Zara's website for $99, in February when she visited Landau Forte College in Derby, England. She later sported a vibrant red variation of the blazer during a trip to Denmark in February 2022 and again in Kent in September 2023.
This occurs just days after Kate was observed wearing another relatable outfit — a knitted ensemble from the reasonably priced French brand Sézane.
Kate doesn't select her outfits independently; she collaborates with stylist Natasha Archer, who has been working with the royal since 2007. In 2019, Archer was honored with the Royal Victorian Order from Prince William, a recognition established by Queen Victoria in 1896 for individuals who have served the monarchy.
The Stade de Marseille in France hosted the Rugby World Cup quarter final match between England and Fiji. Prince William, 41, and their son Prince George, 10, had watched Wales compete against Argentina the day before. Although Wales lost to Argentina with a score of 17-29, England emerged victorious against Fiji with a score of 30-24.

After the match, Kate made an unexpected visit to the England rugby team's locker room to personally congratulate them on their triumph. In a photograph, she can be seen happily applauding alongside the team members, her white tweed blazer undisturbed despite the muddy and dirty surroundings. The rugby team later took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share the special moment, saying, "We were honored to have Her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales, our patron, present at the Marseille game. #ENGvFIJ | #RWC2023."

In February 2022, Kate was appointed by the late Queen Elizabeth II as the royal patron of England's Rugby Football Union and Rugby Football League. This role was previously occupied by Prince Harry until 2020 when he decided to step back as a working royal along with his wife Meghan Markle.
