Kate Hudson celebrated her 45th birthday this year by getting cozy with her kids.

She shared a carousel of photos on Instagram on Sunday, April 21, from her birthday celebrations. One of the photos showed Hudson snuggled up in bed with her children, son Bingham, 12, and daughter Rani, 5.

The actress shared her perfect day from start to finish on her social media, captioning her photos with gratitude for all the birthday wishes she received. She felt all the fuzzy feels from the love and well wishes.

Throughout the day, she posted photos of her children along with videos capturing special moments such as receiving gifts, enjoying breakfast, admiring flowers, having a picnic, and indulging in birthday cake. To end the day on a high note, the actress enjoyed a large dinner out with her friends.

Hudson has a blended family, sharing her son Bingham with ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy and welcoming daughter Rani in 2018 with fiancé Danny Fujikawa, whom she started dating in 2016. She also has a son, Ryder, who was born in 2004 from her previous marriage to Chris Robinson.

The actress, known for her role in How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days, openly talks about how she successfully co-parents her children with three different men. In an interview with The Sunday Times in November 2022, she mentioned, “It might not seem conventional, but I believe we are doing a great job. The bond I have created with my children, each from a different father, is incredibly strong and unique to us.”

She continued, “My goal in life is to feel love and give love. I take things one day at a time and work hard on relationships because I enjoy them.”

In 2019, Hudson mentioned that she felt fortunate to have Robinson and Bellamy as coparents. She shared on Laura Wasser’s “Divorce Sucks!” podcast that her situation was amazing, even though she wouldn't recommend it to everyone. Hudson expressed gratitude for having partners who were able to work things out in their unique circumstances.

After getting divorced, I believe that you're still connected to your ex in a way. It's just a different type of relationship. There will be ups and downs, good days and bad days, good weeks and bad weeks.

Hudson and Fujikawa have been engaged since 2012, but it doesn't look like they're any closer to getting married.

Planning a wedding right now may seem overwhelming, but I am actually excited about it. In February 2023, during an interview on the “Table for Two” podcast, I mentioned that I am torn between having a small wedding and a large wedding. My first wedding to Robinson was very intimate and small.

I keep going back and forth between wanting a big celebration and a small, intimate gathering. There are two sides to me - the part that wants a big bash and the part that prefers a more intimate setting. I believe that I will find a way to incorporate both elements into my wedding planning.
