Kate Hudson shared insights about her romantic life, opening up about her past and current relationships.
During the "Call Her Daddy" podcast on May 22, the 45-year-old actress reflected on her life and expressed satisfaction with her choices. She emphasized the importance of prioritizing a "healthy" relationship above all else.
Hudson shared that being able to choose healthier relationships has made it easier for her to leave unhealthy ones. She acknowledged that it could have been more difficult otherwise.
She also emphasized that just because a relationship isn't meant to be, it doesn't mean you can't still have a positive and meaningful experience.
Hudson shared about the ups and downs of her romantic life during the episode. She mentioned that she had a year-long break from dating before getting engaged to Danny Fujikawa.

Understanding Love
Hudson shared that she wasn't very rebellious and was quite conservative as a young person. She explained that discussions about love and intimacy were always welcomed in her family thanks to her mother, Goldie Hawn, and stepfather Kurt Russell.
"My parents were always open about their love for having a good time. We grew up watching them enjoy life, laughing with friends, and even talking about naughty things at times. The mystery of connection and why we connect with people was never a secret," she explained.
Hudson added that she also grew up being "totally boy crazy," playfully mentioning, "I'm still boy crazy. Boys are just so much fun!"

Kate Hudson first encountered her ex-husband, Chris Robinson, when she was 19 years old. Initially, she thought he was "so mean." However, her perception of him changed when they met again the next year.
"It was a whirlwind. We got engaged in four months, tied the knot at nine months. Then, three years later, I wanted to have a baby," she mentioned, talking about her eldest son Ryder, who was born in 2004. "That's when things started to take a downward turn."
Since she and Robinson were deeply connected, Hudson never doubted their decision to get married at a young age. "It was such a passionate relationship," she remembered fondly.
Checking Your Partner's Phone
Have you ever thought about checking your partner's phone? It might seem like a tempting idea, especially if you're feeling insecure or suspicious. However, invading your significant other's privacy can lead to trust issues and conflict in the relationship.
Before you decide to snoop through their messages or call logs, it's important to consider the impact it could have on your relationship. Trust is the foundation of a healthy partnership, and breaching that trust by going through their phone can cause irreparable damage.
Instead of resorting to spying on your partner, try having an open and honest conversation about your concerns. Communication is key in any relationship, and discussing your feelings with your significant other can lead to a better understanding and resolution of any issues.
Remember, trust and respect are essential components of a successful relationship. By respecting your partner's privacy and building trust through open communication, you can strengthen your bond and create a more secure and loving partnership.
Hudson shared with podcast host Alex Cooper that she suspected one of her exes had gone through her phone as she received notifications of certain logins. She emphasized the importance of being more clever in such situations, especially since the relationship was already falling apart.
Conversely, Hudson admitted to looking through the phones of "shady guys." She believed that any girl who claims she would never do so is being dishonest. Hudson explained that if a guy is acting suspicious and not being truthful, it is necessary to gather solid evidence to confront the situation.
She remembered playing the "fabulous game" with her exes and eventually breaking up with them. "If you're being dishonest and saying one thing but doing another, that's not right. I won't stand for that, so I will figure it out," she said.
Hudson also mentioned, "People often question why women should be in charge. It's because we are extremely resourceful."
Going 1 Year Without Men
“It was great,” Hudson recalled of spending time alone. “I was at that place where I was like, ‘I don’t want to keep repeating any patterns anymore.’”
She didn’t text or flirt with guys throughout that time, but the decision was “strangely empowering.” Hudson ended up staying single for more than three years.
Her Current Relationship
Hudson expressed her admiration for Fujikawa and described him as a "good man." She mentioned that his values are strong and he is a wonderful person. Hudson also shared that she believes she wouldn't have let someone like him into her life if she hadn't spent three years focusing on her own happiness.
They were friends for 15 years before becoming a couple. Hudson describes their romance as a "slow burn" that has brought her a lot of joy.
In December 2016, she and Fujikawa began dating. Their daughter, Rani, was born in October 2018, and they announced their engagement in September 2021. Hudson also has a son named Bing, born in 2011, from her previous relationship with Matt Bellamy.
