Kate Hudson doesn't take any chances when it comes to protecting her hands. The 44-year-old actress shared on The Drew Barrymore Show on December 7th that she wears gloves while driving. In a clip from the show, host Drew Barrymore and guest Michelle Pfeiffer played Truth or Dare and then FaceTimed Hudson.

Hudson picked up the phone and the duo lovingly pressed their faces together. "Kate Hudson! It's Drew and Michelle Pfeiffer," Barrymore exclaimed.

"You guys caught me with my driving gloves on," Hudson said from the front seat. "These are my new driving gloves." The gloves had a fingerless design to shield her skin from the sun's UV rays. "I've decided I don't want any sunspots on my hands," she added.

Pfeiffer then playfully pointed out that Hudson might still get a sunspot from the cutouts on the gloves.

“True,” Hudson replied while laughing.

Barrymore concluded the call by expressing, "We're so grateful for the FaceTime! We love you both!" Hudson reciprocated the sentiment, saying, "I love you both," and ended the call. This heartfelt interaction occurred after Barrymore had previously featured Hudson on her show in May, where they had discussed their exes and their relationships with Luke Wilson and Owen Wilson, respectively.

Barrymore suggested they prank call Luke, 52, and talk to him for the first time in “20 years.”

They then dialed who they thought was Luke and asked if it was “really” him.

“My name’s Lucas,” the caller said.

Hudson quietly told Barrymore that they must have dialed the wrong person from Barrymore's contacts. "Which Luke is this? How do you know Drew Barrymore?" Hudson asked the caller.

Lucas replied, "I was in her movie 'Never Been Kissed'" — even though he wasn't credited in the film.

Once Barrymore recognized her identity, she expressed regret and said, "I’m so sorry we’re making prank calls right now … It’s so nice to hear from you.” She added, “I’ll call you again in a minute and explain what the hell I’m doing.”

Lucas laughed while telling the ladies it was “no problem” that she accidentally called him, while Hudson jokingly asked if he was single.

After they hung up, Barrymore admitted she had “no idea” where Lucas knew her from until he pointed it out.
