Kanye West Investigated for Battery After Man Allegedly Assaults Wife Bianca Censori

Kanye West is currently under investigation for battery after an incident involving his wife, Bianca Censori.

According to TMZ's report on April 17, the 46-year-old rapper is a suspect in a battery case for reportedly punching a man who either grabbed or pushed Censori. The alleged incident occurred in Los Angeles on April 16.

Officials have not made any formal charges for the alleged altercation, as reported by FOX11 Los Angeles.

A representative for Kanye West responded to the incident in a statement to TMZ on Wednesday. The statement disputed the term "grabbed" and stated that Bianca was physically assaulted. The rep claimed that the assailant not only collided with her but also put his hands under her dress, grabbed her waist, spun her around, and blew her kisses, resulting in her being battered and sexually assaulted.

In January 2023, it was confirmed that West and Censori got married in a small ceremony after West's divorce from Kim Kardashian. West and Kardashian were married for six years before they split in 2021. They have four children together: North, 10, Saint, 8, Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 4.

According to a source who exclusively spoke to Us in October 2023, West and Censori, who works as an architectural designer at Yeezy, decided to tie the knot for “religious reasons.” The source mentioned that the couple wanted to deepen their bond and are deeply in love.

Before the alleged incident on Tuesday, the couple was seen together at Disneyland. West was dressed in a white hoodie, sweats, and sneakers, while Censori wore a beige dress. Interestingly, she appeared to be barefoot with bandages on her feet instead of shoes.

West has been known for his controversial behavior over the years. In January 2023, he was involved in an incident where he was investigated for battery. The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a confrontation between West and a woman who was filming him. Video footage showed West grabbing the woman's phone, but no charges were filed after a report was taken.

Earlier this year, Kanye West was sued over an incident involving an autograph seeker in L.A. nearly two years ago. According to court documents obtained by TMZ in January, the alleged victim claimed to have experienced emotional distress from the altercation. The man's wife is also filing a lawsuit, stating that she has suffered a loss of companionship with her husband after the incident.

Despite the lawsuit, no charges were filed for the incident that occurred in 2022. West addressed this during an interview with Hollywood Unlocked, where he asserted his control over his own narrative. He expressed, "I've said it before, you all are not in charge of my story. I'm the one telling my own story. Instead of trying to bring someone down, why don't you focus on something else."
