Justin Long and Kate Bosworth Radiate Joy at First Red Carpet Appearance Following Surprise Wedding

Justin Long and Kate Bosworth, who recently tied the knot, were beaming with joy as they enjoyed a special evening out, all in the name of a worthy cause.

At the highly anticipated A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson's event, held in New York City on Saturday, November 11, the couple, aged 45 and 40 respectively, happily posed for pictures alongside the esteemed Michael J. Fox.

Long and Bosworth both chose elegant ensembles for the event. Long looked sharp in a timeless black suit, while Bosworth added a touch of glamour to the classic little black dress by wearing a stunning gown embellished with a silver flower. The couple appeared radiantly happy as they posed together on the red carpet.

This Saturday marked a special occasion for Long and Bosworth, as it was their first public appearance since their secret wedding. During an interview in May, Long affectionately referred to Bosworth as his "now-wife" and shared the story of how they fell in love on the set of the 2022 film Barbarian, when she visited him.

“I was in Bulgaria when I truly started to fall head over heels for my now-wife,” he disclosed on his podcast "Life Is Short" during that period. "When she came to visit, I had always been hesitant about having her on set. I preferred to keep our relationship separate. However, having her there was an absolute delight, and we shared the most enchanting moments together.”

Long and Bosworth's relationship took a romantic turn when they crossed paths on the House of Darkness set in 2021. Speculations about their romance began swirling in August, coinciding with Bosworth's separation from her ex-husband Michael Polish. It was later revealed in January 2022 that they had been an item for several months, as confirmed by a reliable source.

"They have discreetly embarked on a handful of vacations as a couple, both being passionate about exploring new destinations," revealed the source, emphasizing their mutual love for travel. The insider also disclosed that they were intentionally maintaining a low-profile and preserving the privacy of their relationship.

Long, on his end, clarified his intention behind keeping his relationship with Bosworth away from public scrutiny.

“The feeling it evokes in me is one of protection and sacredness, something I’ve never encountered before. It's a precious aspect of my life that I want to safeguard and cherish, you know?” the actor shared during an appearance on Chelsea Handler’s “Dear Chelsea” podcast in May 2022.

After almost a year, Long disclosed his proposal to Bosworth, expressing how it happened in a deeply personal and organic manner. While discussing their engagement on an episode of his podcast "Life is Short" in April, Long revealed that the proposal came out spontaneously, as if it was a result of the significant life changes they were going through.
