Julia Stiles amazes fans as she brings back her iconic role as Sara from 'Save the Last Dance' during a sensational performance on 'SNL', leaving us in awe

Julia Stiles gave Us everything we wanted for the holidays this year: a reinvented version of her Save the Last Dance performance.

During the December 9 episode of Saturday Night Live, cast member Chloe Fineman declared during a “Weekend Update” segment that the classic ballet/hip-hop dance is the ultimate “intimate” Christmas gift for a significant other.

“I've got just one very sexy gift suggestion, and I might need to show you,” Fineman, 35, informed co-anchors Colin Jost and Michael Che from her spot in front of the “Update” desk. “The most seductive gift to give your partner is to try something new in the bedroom.”

Fineman's sole intention was to recreate Stiles' choreography from the 2001 dance film. She changed out of her festive Mrs. Claus dress, revealing a black leotard and sweatpants, similar to what Stiles, now 42, wore during the film's audition season.

"Hit it!" Fineman announced before flawlessly performing Stiles' moves. "This is street ballet. Essentially, Julia Stiles' character is a rigid ballerina who auditions for Juilliard but doesn't make it. Then, on the same day, her mom dies in a car crash."

Jost, 41, however, was confused about how the “street” element came into the ballet routine, but Che, 40, clarified the movie’s plot for him.

"Colin, let's go," Che said with a laugh. "Sara goes to a high school on the south side of Chicago and embraces hip-hop culture."

Fineman also explained that Stiles' character eventually auditions for an arts college again, and her crush Derek (played by Sean Patrick Thomas) skips a "drive-by shooting" to support her. The camera then showed SNL cast member Devon Walker, dressed as Derek, pumping his fists and nodding along.

By the end, Jost just wanted to know if Sara’s routine was good enough to secure her admittance to Juilliard. Stiles herself then jumped in to answer the inquiry.

“Yes,” Stiles shouted, sporting a matching leotard and sweatpants. “Sara did get into Juilliard.”

After Jost expressed his curiosity, Stiles reminded him that the best part of the crowd-pleasing routine was yet to come. Then, both Stiles and Fineman performed the chair portion of the Save the Last Dance number in sync.

"So, Colin, what's your take?" Fineman inquired before Jost nodded in approval. He then said, "I can't officially say this yet, but consider this a welcome to Juilliard!"
