Following their recent breakups, Joshua Jackson and Lupita Nyong’o have begun a romantic relationship. According to an exclusive source, the couple is keeping their relationship low-key and is focusing on getting to know each other. They have only been dating for a short time and are enjoying a "very normal" relationship.
The insider says that while it has only been a few weeks, Jackson, 45, and Nyong’o, 40, had been friends before dating and have a strong foundation for their relationship. They are still in the early stages, but things are going well. They are spending as much time together as they can and enjoy doing normal activities like shopping, watching movies, and listening to music.
In October, when Nyong’o and Jackson were seen at Janelle Monáe's concert in California with a group of friends, it stirred up speculation about their relationship. This came just weeks after both of them had ended their long-term relationships.
It was confirmed in October by Us that Jodie Turner-Smith filed for divorce from Jackson after four years of marriage, citing a separation date of September 13. The Dawson’s Creek actor filed his response last month, claiming that they actually separated two weeks later on September 30.
Jackson and Turner-Smith, both 37, have cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their separation. They have requested to share joint legal and physical custody of their 3-year-old daughter.
At a similar time, Nyong’o announced that she and boyfriend Selema Masekela had ended their relationship after nearly one year together.
“During this time, I feel compelled to reveal a personal truth and publicly distance myself from someone I can no longer rely on…” the actress shared on Instagram in a lengthy statement on October 19. “I am currently experiencing a period of heartbreak due to a love that was suddenly and devastatingly diminished by deception.”

Nyong'o elaborated, "I am opting to confront the pain, nurturing the bravery to accept my life as it is, and having faith that this difficult time will eventually come to an end. It is said that a kind and compassionate heart is the source of fearlessness. I genuinely hope this is true... I also hope that sharing my own experience may be beneficial to someone else going through heartbreak, who may be tempted to avoid the pain and miss out on the lessons it can bring."
