Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith Stole the Spotlight at New York Fashion Week Event Just Before the Shocking Split

Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith's final public appearance as a couple occurred the day prior to their official separation. It was confirmed that they posed for photographs together at the COS Autumn/Winter 2023 runway show during New York Fashion Week. Jackson, aged 45, was dressed in a black suit, white shirt, and a gold chain necklace, standing alongside Turner-Smith, aged 37. Turner-Smith, a former actress in "Queen & Slim," chose to wear a black blazer, matching skirt, stylish boots, and a diamond necklace as they observed the surroundings from the Classic Car Club Manhattan's dock.

One week earlier, the couple embraced while attending the unveiling of the fully electric Lotus Emeya in New York City on September 7. Jackson smiled as his wife, who is now estranged, held onto his arm at the event. In spite of their consecutive public appearances, it was confirmed on Monday, October 2, by Us that Turner-Smith has filed for divorce after being married for four years. The documents state that the date of separation is September 13.

Turner-Smith attributed the breakup to "irreconcilable differences" and is now requesting joint physical and legal custody of her and Jackson's 3-year-old daughter. Additionally, Turner-Smith is urging the elimination of any considerations for spousal support.

In September 2022, Jackson and Turner-Smith sparked rumors of a breakup when they briefly unfollowed each other on Instagram. Their actions raised eyebrows as they appeared together in an ad but failed to mention each other in the captions. This surprised their followers since both Turner-Smith and Jackson are known for their playful banter on Instagram. However, they later reconnected and refollowed each other.

Earlier this year, Jackson provided a rare glimpse into his life with Turner-Smith and their daughter, born in April 2020.

"It's truly remarkable," he revealed to E! News in March. "Mama has a flair for fashion, and I enjoy dressing up and being by her side. But experiencing parenthood together is simply enchanting."

In April, Reno Wilson, Jackson's costar in Fatal Attraction, shared exclusively with Us that Jackson is the only man he has ever met who speaks so highly and frequently about his wife. Wilson, 54, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, "Our conversations were centered around our wonderful wives. Jackson has a new baby, while mine have grown up, but we truly enjoyed connecting over this."

Jackson, however, openly admitted during that same month that the concept of marriage and being a father was not something that had always been on his list of life goals.

"Partially, it's due to my age. I have reached a point in my life where I am able to embrace these responsibilities. Additionally, it is crucial to find someone who is in the right phase of their own life," shared the renowned actor of The Mighty Ducks in an interview with The Times in April regarding his personal life. "If we had crossed paths five years earlier, we probably would have had a passionate affair. However, everything else that comes with it—I simply wasn't prepared. I never really considered marriage as something I desired."
