Jonathan Majors is currently being sued by his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. She has accused him of assault, battery, and defamation in court documents obtained on Tuesday, March 19. Jabbari, who is 30 years old, claims that Majors, who is 34, subjected her to a pattern of domestic abuse from 2021 to 2023.
In March 2023, Majors ended up in criminal court after an altercation. He was convicted of one count of misdemeanor third-degree assault and one count of second-degree harassment. However, he was not found guilty of two other counts of assault and aggravated harassment in a split verdict.
Jabbari, in her civil lawsuit, is seeking compensation for the physical injuries she sustained during the 2023 incident. Additionally, she alleges in court documents that Majors intentionally caused her emotional distress.
Jabbari’s legal team is accusing Majors of defamation for making false statements about his ex-girlfriend during a pre-sentencing interview with ABC News. Majors denied causing any of Jabbari’s injuries that led to his assault conviction in December 2023 during a January 2024 interview on Good Morning America. He expressed shock and fear at the verdict.

Majors’s defense to Grace’s allegations of violence was to accuse her of lying and tarnish her reputation. He wanted his false statements to reach a global audience, as mentioned in the complaint.
In reaction to the legal action, Majors’ lawyer Priya Chaudhry mentioned that they are not caught off guard by the lawsuit. Mr. Majors is getting ready to file counterclaims against Ms. Jabbari.
Jabbari's lawyer, on the other hand, commended her client for speaking up. "It is truly courageous to hold someone with such high power and fame accountable," attorney Brittany Henderson stated in a message to Us. "Grace Jabbari has shown bravery at every step of the legal proceedings. We firmly believe that by taking this action, honesty and openness will lead Grace to the justice she is entitled to."
Majors and Jabbari first crossed paths in 2021 during the filming of Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania in London. As their relationship blossomed, they decided to move in together in a London apartment while Majors worked on season 2 of Marvel’s Loki series in 2022.
Unfortunately, after Majors' conviction in 2023, Marvel Studios made the decision to terminate his contract. This meant that Majors would no longer be reprising his role as Kang the Conqueror in the upcoming film Avengers: Kang Dynasty, set to hit theaters in 2026.
Majors' sentencing for the domestic violence case has been delayed until April 8. This came after his lawyers requested to overturn his conviction in February. He could potentially be sentenced to a year in prison for the two charges.
