Anna Marie Tendler, who was previously married to comedian John Mulaney, has transformed her feelings of sadness and anger into a new memoir.
Her book, titled Men Have Called Her Crazy, is set to be published on August 14th.
"I have been working on this book for two years," Tendler, 38, shared on Instagram on Tuesday, March 5. However, in reality, I have been working on it for almost four decades. I have never felt prouder of any of my work. This book tells a story about mental health, being a woman, and family. Most importantly, it delves into the deep well of my heartbreak and anger towards men.
Tendler announced that her memoir is now available for preorder and encouraged her followers to spread the word to anyone who may find the book meaningful.
The author wrapped up her post with a playful joke about her artsy Instagram account. It has now turned into a platform to showcase her photography talents after her high-profile divorce.
"Did you really think I was only capturing sunsets and seashores all this while?" she teased.
Mulaney, 41, announced in May 2021 that he and Tendler had split after six years of marriage. Mulaney officially filed for divorce in July 2021.

The announcement came just a few months after Mulaney completed a 60-day rehabilitation stay for alcohol and cocaine addiction.
Tendler was completely surprised when Mulaney filed for divorce. In a statement, she expressed her sadness and mentioned that she was devastated by John's decision to end their marriage. Despite the situation, she wished him all the best in his recovery journey.
Days after Mulaney and Tendler parted ways, it was confirmed by a source that Mulaney was in a relationship with actress Olivia Munn. In November 2021, Mulaney and Munn joyfully welcomed their first child, a son named Malcolm.
Tendler has always been open about the challenges of her breakup with Mulaney. In a heartfelt essay for Elle in June 2023, she bravely shared her struggles with a "mental health breakdown" while paying tribute to her beloved dog Petunia.
Tendler shared that in December 2020, she and Petunia relocated to Connecticut following her severe mental health breakdown and the possible end of her marriage. She expressed how their bond grew stronger as they became even more connected in a harmonious and mutually beneficial relationship. Petunia remained by her side at all times.
Additionally, Tendler revealed the challenges she faced while Mulaney was in rehab, prior to the announcement of their separation.
"My dog was my lifeline for my mental health," she shared. "During my hospitalization for depression, self-harm, and intense suicidal thoughts in early 2021, the doctors requested that I compile a list of what kept me going. The only thing on that list was Petunia."
Sadly, Petunia, a French bulldog, passed away in April 2023.
