Eric Decker, husband of Jessie James Decker, has chosen to undergo a vasectomy after the arrival of their fourth child.

During an Instagram Q&A on March 6, a user asked James Decker if she had gotten her "tubes removed" so that her husband wouldn't need to have a vasectomy. She responded, "He's taking care of it in a couple of weeks. No need to worry. I'll update you on it."

The couple recently welcomed their fourth child, son Denver, joining their other children Vivianne, Eric Jr., and Forrest. Decker, 36, married James Decker in June 2013 and has previously expressed concerns about undergoing the procedure.

In January 2022, the former NFL player shared with We that he had filled out the necessary paperwork for a certain matter but found himself unable to go through with it. He expressed feeling a sense of power being taken away and confessed to feeling nervous about the situation.

One year later, James Decker revealed to Us that her husband continues to resist making the situation permanent. Despite her encouragement for him to make the necessary appointment, he refuses to do so. He believes that taking that step would somehow diminish his sense of manhood, and as a result, he has chosen to leave things as they are.

She mentioned that having more children would always be a blessing for them. She also mentioned that they were not actively taking any measures to prevent it.

James Decker hinted in a July 2023 cover story with Us that they are open to the idea of expanding their family. He expressed that anything is possible and admitted that every month he is uncertain about what the future holds.

In August 2023, James Decker took to Instagram to announce her pregnancy. She shared a video showcasing her baby bump with the song "Always Be My Baby" by Mariah Carey playing in the background.

When James told her husband, Eric, about the pregnancy, he was initially skeptical. During an Instagram Story Q&A session, she revealed, "He didn't believe me at first. He thought I was joking with him...but I would never joke about something like this." James explained that Eric even thought it was a prank involving her pregnant sister, Sydney, taking a pregnancy test.

After assuring Decker that she wasn't playing a prank, he got really excited about the news. "I told him, 'I'm serious. This is for real,'" she explained. "At first, he was in shock, but once he realized it was true, well, you know him. We both love children, so we were both really happy about it."
